  • • As an Institutional Account Manager at Coinbase, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the company’s mission to increase economic freedom by serving as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for Coinbase’s institutional product suite, directly contributing to the growth and stability of the emerging onchain financial system.
  • • You will be responsible for managing high-value institutional client relationships, ensuring seamless integration and optimal use of Coinbase Prime and related products, while driving client satisfaction, retention, and expansion through proactive, solution-oriented engagement.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include demonstrating responsible use of generative AI tools (e.g., LibreChat, Gemini, Glean) to enhance workflow efficiency, quality, and decision-making, applying human-in-the-loop practices to ensure business-ready outputs and continuous improvement.
  • • You will support Coinbase Institutional’s highest-priority clients by partnering with Senior Account Managers and Management to nurture complex relationships across asset managers, banks, corporates, and other institutional segments, acting as a trusted point of contact for strategic initiatives.
  • • A core function involves deeply understanding multi-product client workflows and strategies to ensure institutional clients are properly onboarded and efficiently utilizing Coinbase’s full product suite, with particular emphasis on Coinbase Prime, to maximize value and minimize friction.
  • • You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Trading, Legal, Compliance, and Operations to facilitate seamless client onboarding, resolve issues, and ensure consistent support across all touchpoints of the institutional client journey.
  • • You will deliver best-in-class client experiences through expert stakeholder management, clear prioritization, and efficient execution of initiatives, ensuring alignment between client needs and internal capabilities.
  • • You will effectively triage, manage, and prioritize incoming client requests, resolving them end-to-end with minimal escalation by leveraging internal subject matter specialists and delegating appropriately to ensure timely and accurate outcomes.
  • • You will facilitate product demonstration calls in partnership with Sales, serving as a subject matter expert on product features and functionality to educate clients and support sales enablement efforts.
  • • You will synthesize and distill client feedback from interactions into actionable insights for internal teams such as Operations, Engineering, and Product, surfacing feature requests and managing expectations to drive product improvement and innovation.
  • • You will manage client-related and team projects with diligence and efficiency, driving measurable results that enhance client experience, operational efficiency, and internal alignment.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 4+ years of experience in institutional client relationship management, preferably within financial services, fintech, or digital assets.
  • • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to influence outcomes, build trust, and articulate complex ideas clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • • Demonstrated ability to foster and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to drive mutual success and resolve complex issues.
  • • Strong understanding of operational, regulatory, and compliance risks across key functions and workflows, enabling proactive identification and mitigation of potential issues.
  • • Highly organized and independent work style, capable of managing a diverse book of clients and multiple concurrent initiatives without close supervision.
