  • • The Institutional Account Representative is responsible for managing and growing revenue within an assigned geographic area by driving growth opportunities with existing partners to achieve revenue goals across all product lines.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include providing daily partner support by responding to sales leads and partner inquiries, maintaining Salesforce data integrity, generating revenue forecasts, collaborating with business development teams to exceed regional sales goals, and leading account management through regular partner business reviews and strategic planning.
  • • The role involves working closely with ed2go Business Development, Workforce, and Marketing teams, as well as building relationships with external partners such as local workforce boards to secure program approvals for workforce initiative reimbursement.
  • • Cengage is a global education technology company dedicated to helping learners discover the power and joy of learning through innovative, affordable digital products and services that prepare students for job readiness in high-demand fields.
  • • The representative will develop account management plans, track market trends in vocational and professional education, identify selling opportunities, and work independently to set and manage goals while traveling occasionally to key accounts and national conferences.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 4-year college degree or equivalent
  • • Minimum of 4 years of inside business-to-business (B2B) sales experience or account management
  • • 2 years of channel sales marketing experience
  • • Proven track record of territorial development and growth
  • • Strong telephone, written, and verbal communication skills
  • • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • • Above average digital literacy – Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce
  • • Online research experience and proficiency
  • • Self-starter with a standout colleague attitude, critical thinking, and a can-do mindset
