- • As an Instructional Designer at Forward Financing, you will be instrumental in shaping the learning and development landscape for our rapidly growing fintech company. This role goes beyond traditional instructional design, positioning you as a strategic Learning Partner who consults with stakeholders, tackles complex business challenges, and pioneers the integration of innovative technologies like Artificial Intelligence into our learning ecosystem. You will be responsible for the end-to-end design, development, and implementation of high-impact learning solutions that drive performance, optimize onboarding, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- • A core aspect of your role will involve designing and developing leadership curricula and performance management resources. You will translate abstract management frameworks into practical, actionable scenarios, engaging role-playing exercises, and readily accessible "Just-in-Time" guides. These materials will be crucial in supporting our managers through the performance cycle, ensuring consistent application of best practices and fostering effective leadership across the organization.
- • You will also play a pivotal role in optimizing our global functional onboarding experiences. Your objective will be to structure and deliver content that significantly reduces the "time-to-ramp" for new hires, enabling them to become productive and integrated members of the Forward Financing team more quickly. This includes developing comprehensive onboarding pathways that not only impart necessary job skills but also effectively introduce new employees to our unique company culture and values.
- • A significant portion of your work will focus on Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) and facilitation design. You will create comprehensive, visually engaging materials for synchronous learning sessions conducted via platforms like Zoom and Google Meet. This includes crafting compelling slide decks, detailed facilitator guides that equip trainers for success, and interactive breakout activities designed to maximize learner engagement and knowledge retention.
- • Video production and editing will be another key responsibility. You will be tasked with editing training videos, screen captures, and interviews to create polished, professional learning assets. Comfort with trimming footage, syncing audio, removing background noise, and adding essential elements like lower thirds and text overlays using tools such as Adobe Premiere, Camtasia, or Canva is essential.
- • In the realm of eLearning and rapid design, you will build SCORM-compliant courses using Articulate Storyline and Rise 360. Furthermore, you will be expected to create quick, on-brand visual assets like thumbnails, worksheets, and infographics using Canva, ensuring a consistent and professional look and feel across all learning materials.
- • Embracing the future of learning, you will leverage Generative AI tools to accelerate the creation of training outlines, draft scripts, and develop course assets, moving beyond traditional development timelines. A unique and exciting aspect of this role is supporting the organization's broader AI enablement strategy. You will design resources and "Just-in-Time" guides to help employees across the business understand and effectively utilize AI tools in their respective roles, fostering a company-wide culture of AI literacy and productivity.
- • Finally, you will be responsible for maintaining our library of learning assets and managing course uploads and testing within our Learning Management System (LMS). This ensures that all training content is accurately tracked, accessible, and effectively deployed to our global workforce.
- • This role offers a unique opportunity to move beyond the confines of traditional instructional design. You will have the autonomy to act as a true consultant, partnering with stakeholders to identify needs, solve complex business problems through learning, and lead our team into the future by integrating AI into how we learn and work. If you are a creative problem-solver with a passion for innovation and a desire to make a tangible impact, you will find a fulfilling home at Forward Financing.
