📋 Description

• As a Senior Deployment Strategist for LATAM at Chainalysis, you will play a pivotal role in advancing blockchain intelligence capabilities across Latin America and the Caribbean by supporting complex cryptocurrency investigations and building investigative capacity among public and private sector stakeholders.
• Your work will directly contribute to enhancing regional resilience against financial crime in the crypto space, leveraging Chainalysis’ industry-leading tools and data to uncover illicit activity trends and empower local agencies and enterprises with actionable insights.
• Day to day, you will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support highly sensitive, technically complex investigations involving cryptocurrencies, financial crimes, dark web activities, and counter-terrorism financing.
• You will conduct rigorous open-source and blockchain data analysis, synthesize findings into comprehensive investigative reports, and present actionable intelligence to law enforcement, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies in the region.
• A core responsibility involves reviewing investigative methodologies and data collection practices to ensure authenticity, veracity, and relevance, thereby strengthening the integrity and depth of financial crime assessments.
• You will develop, localize, and deliver training workshops and educational materials in English, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese to upskill regional stakeholders in blockchain analysis and investigative best practices.
• Acting as a mission ambassador, you will evangelize Chainalysis’ vision of bringing trust to blockchains by demonstrating how blockchain analytics can transform investigative outcomes and support safer digital economies.
• You will prepare strategic summaries and risk assessments derived from extensive research to guide investigation prioritization, lead follow-up, and mitigate potential obstacles in ongoing cases.
• The team operates at the intersection of technology, law enforcement, and financial intelligence, fostering a culture of precision, innovation, and global impact through data-driven investigations.
• Chainalysis is a mission-driven leader in blockchain analytics, trusted by governments, financial institutions, and crypto businesses worldwide to detect, investigate, and prevent illicit blockchain activity.

🎯 Requirements

• A bachelor’s or advanced degree in cybersecurity, cyber crime, intelligence, criminal justice, forensic accounting, data analytics, or a closely related field.
• Proven experience conducting complex financial crime investigations for federal agencies, intelligence units, law enforcement, financial institutions, or cryptocurrency companies, with preference for backgrounds in dark web analysis, counter-terrorism, or technical forensic work.
• Demonstrated proficiency in open-source intelligence (OSINT) research using public and private databases, blockchain explorers, and investigative tools to trace illicit crypto flows.
• Fluency in both Spanish and English, with Brazilian Portuguese language skills considered a strong asset for regional engagement.
• Strong preference for candidates based in Colombia to ensure effective regional presence and stakeholder engagement.
• Passion for blockchain technology and a commitment to using data to combat illicit activity in the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
