📋 Description
- • As an Instrument Sales Account Manager for Agilent Technologies in Cork, you will drive revenue growth across the Munster region by selling chromatography, spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry solutions to pharmaceutical, governmental, food, environmental, and lab customers. This role is critical to expanding Agilent’s market share in Ireland through strategic prospecting, relationship building, and solution-based selling in a technically sophisticated scientific marketplace.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include achieving sales quotas and forecasts, developing and maintaining high-value customer relationships, proactively prospecting for new business using Agilent’s latest product innovations, collaborating with Product Specialists and Application Engineers to tailor solutions, working cross-functionally with CSD, CSO, SSD, and COPC teams, participating in global marketing initiatives, maintaining accurate CRM records and expense reports, and consistently embodying Agilent’s Core Values of Innovation, Trust, Respect, Teamwork, Integrity, Speed, Focus, and Accountability.
- • You will join a dynamic, international sales team within Agilent’s Environmental and Life Sciences divisions, supported by technical specialists and backed by a global leader in analytical instrumentation known for innovation, quality, and customer-centric solutions. The team operates with a strong emphasis on collaboration, integrity, and delivering measurable value to customers across complex scientific workflows.
- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in analytical instrumentation sales, refine consultative selling techniques, build a robust professional network across Irish scientific and industrial sectors, gain experience in strategic account planning and cross-functional collaboration, and position yourself for advancement within Agilent’s global sales organization through performance-driven growth and leadership opportunities.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree or equivalent university qualification
- • 1-2+ years of experience selling instruments or analytical solutions in Agilent’s relevant markets (pharma, environmental, food, governmental labs)
- • Working understanding of chromatography, mass spectrometry, and spectroscopy as applied in analytical laboratory settings
- • Demonstratable knowledge of the Irish instrumentation laboratory market and customer landscape
- • Valid Irish driver’s license and fluency in English
- • Ability to negotiate and resolve critical customer issues, interface effectively at all organizational levels, and demonstrate strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- • High motivation, self-management, organizational, and prioritization abilities with proven teaming and collaboration skills
