Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • As an Insurance Product Manager at Further AI Inc., you will play a pivotal role in transforming the $7 trillion insurance industry by designing and building AI-powered workflows that automate complex, document-heavy processes such as submission intake, policy comparison, underwriting audits, and claims workflows. Your deep insurance domain expertise combined with technical implementation skills will directly enable underwriters, claims teams, and brokers to shift focus from manual review to higher-value work, driving measurable efficiency and accuracy at some of the world’s largest carriers, MGAs, and brokers.
- • You will own the full lifecycle of AI extraction workflows on the FurtherAI platform, including scoping complex insurance processes, architecting scalable solutions, prototyping with Python or SQL, defining ground truth outputs, building evaluation sets, running continuous benchmarks, and iterating based on real-world performance. Working closely with Forward Deployed Engineers and customers, you will configure, test, and refine workflows to ensure they meet production standards and deliver tangible results in live environments.
- • You will serve as the critical bridge between insurance domain experts and engineering teams, translating underwriter and claims professional needs into technical specifications while ensuring that AI systems are grounded in real-world insurance logic. Your ability to speak both languages will be essential in aligning product development with customer outcomes and maintaining trust across teams.
- • In this role, you will gain unparalleled ownership and impact as an early team member shaping a category-defining product in a high-growth, well-funded startup. You will see your workflows deployed at scale across global insurance leaders, develop advanced skills in AI evaluation and workflow engineering, and grow into a hybrid domain-technical leader — all while working in a collaborative, low-ego environment backed by a16z and Y Combinator.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4–8 years of experience in insurance operations, technical implementation, solutions engineering, or technical product management, with direct exposure to core workflows such as Sub/Quote/Bind, underwriting, policy management, or claims at a carrier, MGA, TPA, broker, or insurtech
- • Hands-on ability to prototype or script workflows using Python, SQL, JSON/YAML, or similar tools to validate logic and test AI outputs without relying on engineers for prototyping
- • Proven experience working directly with customers in a technical capacity (e.g., solutions engineering, professional services, or implementation), with the ability to navigate gaps between customer requests and feasible technical builds
🏖️ Benefits
- • Real ownership and impact as an early team member shaping a product in a $7 trillion industry, with workflows deployed at some of the world’s largest insurance companies
- • Strong financial backing and growth trajectory — $30M raised (including $25M Series A led by a16z), 10x revenue growth, and participation from top-tier investors like Y Combinator and Nexus Venture Partners
- • Collaborative, low-ego culture with close-knit teamwork across product, engineering, and go-to-market, plus competitive compensation including base salary, equity, and full benefits
