Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • As an Insurance Sales Representative at Kin Insurance, you will play a pivotal role in helping homeowners secure essential protection during critical life moments by converting high-intent inbound leads into lasting customer relationships through consultative, trust-based sales.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will center on engaging with prospects via phone, email, and text to assess their insurance needs, clearly communicate the value of Kin’s tailored homeowners insurance solutions, and guide them confidently through the sales process to policy bind—all while leveraging company-provided warm leads so you can focus on closing, not prospecting.
- • You will collaborate closely with underwriters and customer service teams to ensure a seamless experience from initial inquiry to policy issuance, simplifying complex coverage concepts and recommending policies that best protect customers’ homes and assets.
- • Kin is a remote-first, mission-driven company recognized as a top workplace by Built In Chicago, Forbes, Inc., and Great Places to Work, where innovation, empathy, and ownership are core values—offering you the chance to grow professionally while contributing to a company redefining insurance for climate-vulnerable and underserved communities.
- • In this role, you’ll develop advanced consultative sales skills, deepen your expertise in property and casualty insurance, and have the opportunity to earn uncapped commissions through performance incentives, with top performers regularly exceeding six figures in annual earnings while building a career in a high-growth, profitable insurtech leader.
🎯 Requirements
- • Active Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance license in your state of residence
- • Minimum 6 months of P&C insurance sales experience in a fast-paced environment (homeowners, auto, or call center background preferred)
- • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets using consultative techniques and strong customer relationship-building skills
- • Proficiency with CRM systems and multi-platform telephone software, including comfort managing simultaneous digital tools
- • Availability to work one of two assigned shifts (9:00 AM–6:00 PM CST or 11:00 AM–8:00 PM CST) Monday–Friday, plus a rotating Saturday shift every 4–6 weeks
- • Completion of mandatory 8+ weeks of paid training (May 4, 2026 start date)
🏖️ Benefits
- • On-target earnings (OTE) starting at $88,000 with uncapped commissions, including a $40,000 base salary and $4,000 annual bonus tied to policy attainment
- • Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, short- and long-term disability, plus voluntary options like accident, critical illness, legal, and pet insurance
- • 11 days accrued PTO, 7 paid sick days, 8 paid company holidays, and generous parental leave (14 weeks for birthing parents, 8 weeks for non-birthing)
- • 401(k) plan with up to 4% company match, equity via Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and access to professional development and career mobility opportunities
- • Recognition programs including President’s Club (Top 15 agents), milestone awards, monthly team honors, and referral bonuses
- • Employee Assistance Program and access to Kin’s Terry Berry Perks Program for additional lifestyle benefits
