Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • As an Insurance Sales Representative at Kin Insurance, you will play a pivotal role in helping homeowners protect their most valuable assets by converting high-intent inbound leads into long-term policyholders through consultative, trust-based sales conversations—focusing entirely on closing rather than prospecting, with company-provided warm leads eliminating the need for cold outreach.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include handling inbound customer inquiries via phone, email, and text to assess individual needs, clearly communicating the value and coverage details of Kin’s homeowners insurance products, guiding customers toward tailored solutions that protect their homes and belongings, consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets through effective relationship-building and consultative techniques, partnering with underwriting and customer service teams to ensure seamless policy issuance, and maintaining accurate records in CRM systems while managing multiple platforms simultaneously.
- • Kin Insurance is a remote-first, mission-driven insurtech company founded in 2016 that leverages data, technology, and human-centered design to simplify and improve homeowners insurance—especially in underserved or high-risk markets—serving customers across 13 states and growing, with a workforce ("Kinfolk") spanning over 35 states and recognized as a top workplace by Built In Chicago, Forbes, Inc., and Great Places to Work.
- • You will be part of a high-performing sales team where top performers regularly achieve six-figure earnings through uncapped commissions and performance incentives, gaining deep expertise in property and casualty (P&C) insurance sales, consultative selling techniques, CRM mastery, and regulatory compliance—positioning you for long-term career growth in a profitable, innovative fintech leader backed by marquee investors and committed to sustainable, customer-first growth.
- • Through this role, you’ll develop advanced skills in needs-based selling, objection handling, product knowledge application, and cross-functional collaboration, while earning industry-recognized incentives such as President’s Club eligibility, milestone bonuses, and recognition awards—all within a culture that values ownership, curiosity, lean operations, and continuous improvement, empowering you to grow both professionally and personally as you contribute to Kin’s mission of fixing insurance for those who need it most.
🎯 Requirements
- • Active Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance license in your state of residence
- • Minimum 6 months of P&C insurance sales experience in a fast-paced environment (homeowners, auto, or call center background preferred)
- • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets through consultative selling and strong customer relationship-building
- • Proficiency with CRM systems and multi-platform telephone software, including managing simultaneous interactions
- • Availability to work Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM–8:00 PM CST, with rotating Saturday shifts every 4–6 weeks
- • Completion of mandatory 8+ weeks paid training (starting May 4, 2026 training class)
🏖️ Benefits
- • On-target earnings (OTE) of $88,000+ with uncapped commissions, $40,000 base salary, and $4,000 annual bonus tied to policy attainment
- • Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, short- and long-term disability, effective first of the month following start date
- • 11 days accrued PTO, 7 paid sick days, 8 paid company holidays, and generous parental leave (14 weeks for birthing parents, 8 weeks for non-birthing parents)
- • 401(k) plan with up to 4% company match, Employee Assistance Program, and voluntary benefits (accident, critical illness, pet insurance, legal assistance, etc.)
- • Company equity via Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), referral bonuses, and access to professional development and career mobility opportunities
- • Recognition programs including Terry Berry Perks, President’s Club (Top 15 agents), milestone awards, and monthly team/agent accolades
