This role is central to Kin’s mission of making homeowners insurance simpler, more affordable, and better—especially in climate-vulnerable and underserved markets—by converting high-intent leads into loyal, long-term customers.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include handling inbound customer inquiries via phone, email, and text to assess individual needs and recommend tailored insurance solutions; consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets through relationship-building and proven sales techniques; clearly communicating the value and benefits of Kin’s insurance products while confidently addressing customer questions; leveraging company-provided warm leads and executing disciplined follow-up to move prospects through the sales funnel to policy bind; collaborating with underwriters and customer service teams to ensure a seamless experience from initial inquiry to policy issuance; and simplifying complex insurance concepts to help customers make informed decisions about protecting their homes and families.
- • You will be part of a mission-driven, remote-first team at Kin Insurance, a fast-growing InsurTech company recognized as a Best Place to Work by Built In Chicago (2021–2026), Forbes’ America’s Best Startup Employers (2021–2024), and a Great Place to Work Certified organization (2024–2026). Kinfolk across more than 35 states are united by values like running through walls together, raising the bar with low ego, operating like owners, and embracing lean innovation—creating a culture where high performance, respect, and purpose go hand in hand.
- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in property and casualty insurance, refine advanced consultative sales and customer engagement skills, and gain experience working in a high-velocity, data-informed sales environment. Top performers regularly achieve six-figure earnings through uncapped commissions and performance incentives, with clear pathways for career growth, professional development, and increased responsibility within Kin’s expanding sales organization.
🎯 Requirements
- • At least 6 months of P&C insurance experience in a fast-paced sales environment (homeowners, auto, and/or call center experience a plus)
- • Active P&C license in your current state of residence
- • Proven track record of closing sales and exceeding targets
- • Ability to build trust quickly through clear, confident communication
- • Proficiency with CRM systems and telephone software, including managing multiple platforms simultaneously
- • Self-motivated, results-driven mindset with a passion for hitting goals

- • 11 days accrued PTO, 7 paid sick days, 8 paid company holidays, and generous parental leave (14 weeks for birthing parents, 8 weeks for non-birthing parents)
- • 401(k) with up to 4% company match, company equity via RSUs, and access to voluntary benefits like accident, hospital indemnity, critical illness, legal assistance, and pet insurance
- • Ongoing professional development, career mobility opportunities, referral bonuses, and recognition programs including President’s Club (Top 15 agents) and milestone awards
