📋 Description

• The Insuring Specialist validates loan file information and accurately enters data into FHA Connection, VA WebLGY, and USDA LINC to obtain the required mortgage insurance certificate, playing a critical role in ensuring timely loan endorsement and compliance with government agency guidelines.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing loan documents for compliance, requesting missing or unsigned documents, paying upfront fees and recording transactions in Encompass, verifying loan file data, preparing files for manual endorsement, endorsing loan files, updating insuring information in Encompass, uploading mortgage insurance certificates to eFolders, managing a daily loan pipeline with current status comments, and promptly escalating unresolved issues to management while meeting daily production goals.

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in paying and insuring government loans
• Experience navigating government agency websites, particularly insuring platforms (FHA Connection, VA WebLGY, USDA LINC)
• 3+ years of experience in loan processing and insuring (preferred)
• Knowledge of government agency fees and payment processes
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to request or correct documentation
