- • Coordinate the full infusion therapy referral and intake process, including obtaining insurance authorizations, conducting benefit investigations, and providing financial counseling to patients.
- • Serve as the primary liaison between referring physicians, patients, and internal care teams to ensure seamless communication and timely initiation of treatment.
- • Obtain and verify all necessary clinical documentation from prescribing providers to support insurance approvals and treatment eligibility.
- • Communicate referral status, authorization outcomes, and next steps to patients in a clear, compassionate, and customer-centric manner.
- • Maintain accurate records in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and ensure all patient intake data is complete, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory standards.
- • Assist in managing medical inventory and office supplies to support daily clinic operations and patient care readiness.
- • Interpret and navigate complex medical charts to extract relevant clinical and insurance-related information for intake processing.
- • Utilize proprietary AI-driven technology platforms to streamline workflows, track patient progress, and improve operational efficiency.
- • Respond promptly to inquiries from referring providers regarding patient status, authorization delays, or documentation requirements.
- • Participate in a dedicated six-week onboarding and training program designed to build expertise in infusion therapy protocols, insurance processes, and company systems.
- • Uphold the highest standards of patient confidentiality and data security in all interactions and documentation practices.
- • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to identify bottlenecks in the intake process and contribute to process improvements.
- • Maintain a high level of accuracy in billing and insurance documentation to minimize claim denials and payment delays.
- • Demonstrate deep understanding of medical terminology and insurance codes relevant to specialty infusion therapies.
- • Ensure all patient interactions reflect Local Infusion’s mission of delivering exceptional, patient-centered care through empathy, clarity, and reliability.

- • Health Care Experience Required
- • Prior Experience in Infusion is Preferred
- • Insurance Prior Authorization Experience
- • Medical Terminology Experience
- • Overall Medical Insurance Experience
- • Experience and strong familiarity utilizing Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
