  • • Meticulously process incoming prior-authorization requests through multiple channels: phone, fax, and web, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in every submission.
  • • Uphold and exceed customer service expectations by delivering an exceptional level of support to both internal and external clients, fostering strong relationships and trust.
  • • Masterfully utilize both inbound and outbound communication methods, including phone calls and written correspondence, to gather information, resolve inquiries, and provide updates.
  • • Proactively respond to and effectively resolve a wide array of questions and problems presented by network providers, imaging centers/facilities, members, and referring providers, demonstrating problem-solving acumen.
  • • Handle inbound calls related to follow-up inquiries on existing authorization requests, providing clear status updates on requests that are either in process or have already been processed.
  • • Accurately collect and transfer non-clinical data, ensuring that all necessary information is captured without error for subsequent processing.
  • • Skillfully acquire structured clinical data, understanding the importance of precise information for medical necessity reviews and authorization decisions.
  • • Conduct thorough reviews of authorization requests to confirm the completeness of all required information, identifying and addressing any missing elements promptly.
  • • Verify member eligibility to ensure that services requested are covered under their plan, adhering to policy guidelines.
  • • Confirm the participation status of physicians and rendering facilities within the network, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.
