• • As a Technology Implementation Lead within Humana's Business Informatics Shared Services (BISS) team, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between corporate technology and business units, with a primary focus on supporting enterprise Finance operations. The BISS team is recognized for its extensive enterprise data expertise, often extending its support beyond Finance to various critical business initiatives.
• • Your core responsibility will be to meticulously gather and document business system and functional requirements, ensuring that proposed system designs are optimized for supportability and directly align with overarching business objectives. You will be instrumental in translating business needs into actionable technical specifications.
• • This role demands a proactive approach to collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders, including Finance business areas and IT teams. You will be responsible for completing and coordinating the implementation of designs and requirements, overseeing rigorous testing phases, ensuring operational readiness for new solutions, and facilitating a seamless transition to the appropriate production support teams.
• • A key aspect of your work will involve influencing system design to enhance supportability and ensure that implemented solutions effectively meet and exceed business expectations. You will act as a crucial liaison, ensuring that technical solutions are practical, efficient, and aligned with strategic goals.
• • You will be expected to lead and manage projects from inception through to successful deployment. This includes defining project scope, developing project plans, managing timelines, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring effective communication among all project participants.
• • A significant part of your role will involve deep collaboration with the Service Fund, IT, and Finance teams. Building and nurturing strong, positive relationships with these critical groups is paramount to project success and the overall effectiveness of the BISS team.
• • You will leverage your understanding of accounting principles and financial processes to ensure that technology solutions are not only technically sound but also financially compliant and strategically beneficial.
• • Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation, including system requirements, design specifications, test plans, and operational procedures. This ensures clarity, consistency, and a solid foundation for ongoing support and future enhancements.
• • You will be involved in the entire Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from initial setup and requirements gathering through to testing, implementation, and transition to production support. Your expertise will ensure that each phase is executed efficiently and effectively.
• • Problem-solving and consultation within complex environments will be a daily occurrence. You will be expected to analyze challenges, identify root causes, and develop innovative and practical solutions that address the underlying issues.
• • Facilitating cross-functional teams' efforts is a critical component of this role. You will guide diverse groups towards common goals, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment.
• • You will utilize advanced SQL or similar data manipulation tools to extract, analyze, and interpret data, supporting requirement definition, testing, and problem-solving activities.
• • Experience with Medicare/Medicaid, particularly within the health insurance sector, will be highly valuable in understanding the specific regulatory and operational landscape.
• • You will contribute to data architecture and solution architecture discussions, ensuring that implemented solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise data strategies.
