  • • Own the end-to-end development of integrated media plans that span direct, programmatic, search, and social channels, translating high-level business goals into channel-specific tactics that maximize reach, efficiency, and ROI for a diverse portfolio of agency and brand clients.
  • • Serve as the primary strategic partner to clients and internal stakeholders, leveraging Basis’ unified platform to craft data-driven recommendations that challenge conventional thinking and unlock new growth opportunities.
  • • Translate complex audience, market, and competitive insights from syndicated research tools into clear, actionable strategies, ensuring every placement is grounded in evidence and aligned to measurable KPIs.
  • • Negotiate directly with premium publishers, networks, and programmatic supply partners to secure optimal inventory, pricing, and added-value placements, driving cost efficiencies that directly impact client profitability.
  • • Collaborate daily with cross-functional teams—Associate Media Planners, Ad Operations, Campaign Analytics, Search & Social Specialists—to ensure flawless execution, pacing, and optimization across all live campaigns.
  • • Manage the full lifecycle of insertion orders (IOs), from initial creation and client approval through post-IO revisions, ensuring every detail is accurate, compliant, and delivered on schedule.
  • • Monitor real-time campaign performance dashboards, proactively identifying under-delivery or performance gaps and orchestrating rapid corrective actions to protect client budgets and KPI attainment.
  • • Partner with the Analytics team to design robust measurement frameworks, including attribution models, incrementality tests, and brand-lift studies that prove business impact and inform future investment decisions.
  • • Mentor and up-skill Associate Media Planners by delivering hands-on training in media fundamentals, platform workflows, and emerging channel best practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
  • • Contribute to new-business pitches and client QBRs by preparing visually compelling presentations that showcase strategic thinking, performance results, and forward-looking innovation opportunities.
  • • Maintain meticulous documentation of plans, approvals, and financial reconciliations, partnering with Finance to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure 100% revenue recognition accuracy.
  • • Champion inclusive collaboration by actively seeking diverse perspectives, facilitating open dialogue, and embedding equity considerations into every planning and optimization decision.
  • • Stay at the forefront of digital media innovation—attending industry webinars, beta-testing new Basis features, and sharing key takeaways across the organization to keep our offerings best-in-class.
  • • Drive client satisfaction and retention by delivering “Raving Fan Service,” transforming everyday interactions into moments that reinforce Basis as an indispensable strategic ally.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 2+ years of hands-on experience in digital media planning and buying across multiple channels (direct, programmatic, search, social).
  • • Demonstrated understanding of programmatic media, real-time bidding, and Demand Side Platform (DSP) operations.
  • • Strategic thinker with proven ability to translate business objectives into measurable media strategies and KPIs.
  • • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to craft client-ready narratives and persuasive POVs.
  • • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis, forecasting, and presentation development.
  • • Nice-to-have: hands-on DSP buying experience, holistic media planning background, familiarity with 3rd-party ad servers (e.g., DCM), and/or Basis Certification.
