- • As Integration Lead at Stellic, you will own the critical systems that connect university Student Information Systems (SIS) to Stellic’s platform, ensuring data correctness and reliability that directly impact the entire product experience for over 1 million students across 7 countries.
- • You will define and drive the evolution of Stellic’s integration architecture, owning end-to-end SIS integration systems including pipelines, data models, and interfaces, while replacing legacy patterns with a scalable, standardized approach to support future growth.
- • You will join a mission-driven engineering team at a fast-growing social impact startup backed by leading investors, partnering with top institutions like Cornell, Columbia, UVA, and Ohio State to transform how students navigate their education journeys.
- • In this role, you will shape technical standards, mentor engineers on best practices, and ensure fault-tolerant, observable systems that maintain clean internal representations of complex external data sources, directly contributing to engineering excellence and platform trustworthiness.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of backend engineering experience operating at scale, with a track record of leading complex implementations as a technical lead
- • Background designing and operating high-reliability integration systems with strong guarantees around data correctness
- • Expertise building fault-tolerant, observable systems that are easy to debug in production
- • Experience working with complex external systems and translating them into clean, well-defined internal models
- • Strong judgment in defining and evolving integration standards and patterns across a codebase
- • Strong proficiency in SQL and database optimization (PostgreSQL a plus)
- • Comfort with asynchronous / event-based architectures
- • Clear and effective communication skills for collaborating with product, design, and customer-facing teams
