- • A key aspect of this position is the proactive enforcement and defense of our intellectual property and trademark rights. This encompasses a wide array of our digital presence, including our mobile applications, websites, marketing funnels, creative content, brand naming, and overall visual identity. You will be tasked with the critical responsibility of detecting, meticulously documenting, and thoroughly assessing any instances of infringement, imitation patterns, or borderline business practices that are designed to unfairly capitalize on the success and reputation of our products.
- • You will take the lead on all takedown processes, initiate cease-and-desist actions, manage platform complaints across various digital ecosystems, and implement other relevant enforcement mechanisms. A strong emphasis will be placed on achieving swift and tangible outcomes, ensuring that our rights are protected efficiently and effectively. Furthermore, you will be responsible for developing robust legal positions and comprehensive strategies that not only withstand formal scrutiny but also materially restrict the ability of infringing competitors to operate and succeed in the marketplace.
- • This role demands a proactive and strategic approach to designing and executing structured legal enforcement campaigns. The objective is to significantly increase the cost of non-compliance for bad-faith actors, thereby deterring future infringements. Continuous market surveillance and deep dives into digital ecosystems are essential to identify emerging risks and uncover opportunities for leveraging our legal standing. You will work collaboratively with our product development, marketing, and executive teams to ensure that intellectual property protection is an integral part of the early stages of brand development, naming conventions, and product design decisions.
- • While you will manage external counsel when necessary, you will maintain strategic ownership and oversight of all IP-related matters internally. This ensures a cohesive and integrated approach to protecting Ruby Labs' most valuable assets. Your excellent written and spoken English communication skills will be vital for liaising with internal teams and external parties.
