- • The Internal Controls & Audit Specialist ensures compliance with internal controls requirements and coordinates financial statement audits with external auditors, playing a critical role in safeguarding financial integrity across VSP Vision’s corporate and global operations.
- • Day to day, the role involves performing self-audits of internal controls, analyzing control effectiveness, evaluating risks, designing controls for financial and operational processes, ensuring segregation of duties, safeguarding assets, and maintaining consistency of controls across all VSP companies.
- • The specialist works closely with Internal Audit to monitor Model Audit Rule (MAR) compliance, coordinates testing and documentation, liaises with external auditors, schedules audits, manages timelines, collects and reviews financial information, and creates reports including status updates, open issues, and audit expense dashboards.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field or equivalent experience
- • Six years of accounting-related experience, including work with Sarbanes Oxley or Model Audit Rule compliance
- • Knowledge of accounting and auditing principles (GAAP and GAAS)
- • Experience auditing in an SAP environment
- • Proven track record of managing projects and prioritizing tasks
- • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to summarize large data sets into executive-level summaries
- • Proficiency in Excel
- • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment
- • Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time
