- • Develop and maintain custom internal tools used by Kinsta’s customer service teams including Technical Support, Billing, Customer Success, Malware & Abuse, and Migrations.
- • Collaborate directly with customer service teams to identify workflow inefficiencies and translate operational needs into technical solutions.
- • Build scalable, reliable, and user-friendly applications that streamline support processes and reduce manual work for frontline teams.
- • Integrate internal tools with existing systems such as CRM platforms, ticketing systems, billing software, and Kinsta’s hosting infrastructure.
- • Write clean, well-documented code with a focus on maintainability, performance, and security.
- • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives as part of an agile development team.
- • Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and performance issues in existing internal tools with urgency and precision.
- • Proactively suggest improvements to tooling based on user feedback and evolving business requirements.
- • Ensure all tools comply with data privacy standards and internal security policies when handling customer information.
- • Work closely with product and engineering leads to prioritize tool development based on team impact and business goals.
- • Document tool functionality, usage guidelines, and onboarding materials for non-technical end users.
- • Stay current with emerging technologies and frameworks that can enhance internal tool capabilities and developer productivity.
- • Contribute to a remote-first culture by participating in asynchronous communication, virtual stand-ups, and team-building activities.
- • Take ownership of tool lifecycle from concept to deployment, including testing, monitoring, and iterative refinement.
- • Support training sessions and provide ongoing assistance to customer service teams adopting new tools.
- • Balance multiple priorities across teams with competing demands while maintaining high-quality output.
- • Use data and usage metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of tools and guide future development decisions.
- • Maintain a strong focus on user experience, ensuring tools are intuitive and reduce cognitive load for support staff.
- • Work within Kinsta’s technology stack, which includes modern web frameworks, APIs, and cloud-based infrastructure.
- • Contribute to a culture of continuous learning by sharing knowledge with peers and documenting best practices.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proficient in modern web development frameworks and languages (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, PHP)
- • Experience building internal tools or enterprise software used by non-technical teams
- • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and integration with third-party systems
- • Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment with minimal supervision
- • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- • Experience collaborating with customer support or operations teams to gather requirements
