Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Own the end-to-end order lifecycle for Saputo’s International Cheese & Ingredient customers, acting as the single point of accountability from purchase order receipt through final delivery at ports across 60+ countries.
  • • Create and validate every customer order in SAP with meticulous attention to pricing, weight, and Incoterms, ensuring zero discrepancies that could delay cargo or erode margin.
  • • Secure vessel or air space by requesting and confirming bookings with global freight forwarders, balancing cost, transit time, and customer requirements to keep supply chains fluid.
  • • Generate accurate SAP shipments and reconcile freight invoices, protecting the P&L from unexpected accessorial charges while maintaining full audit trails for finance and compliance teams.
  • • Prepare complex export document packages—including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Government Health Certificates, Original Bills of Lading, Sea Waybills, AES filings, and Certificates of Insurance—tailored to the unique import regulations of each destination country.
  • • Process Letters of Credit and payment confirmations, partnering closely with Treasury and banking partners to guarantee cash flow and minimize credit risk on multimillion-dollar orders.
  • • Leverage third-party portals and EDI systems to upload, update, and submit customer-specific data sets, ensuring buyers have real-time visibility into shipment status, temperature logs, and quality documentation.
  • • Build and maintain a dynamic ship-schedule dashboard, presenting weekly status reports to Sales, Production, and Supply Chain leadership so emerging risks are flagged and resolved before they impact customers.
  • • Monitor inventory availability with 3PL warehouses, plant schedulers, and demand planners, orchestrating priority production runs or expedited transfers when shortages threaten on-time delivery.
  • • Compose clear, professional correspondence—emails, memos, and formal documents—that keeps customers, brokers, and internal stakeholders aligned on milestones, exceptions, and next steps.
  • • Minimize or eliminate service failures by proactively identifying bottlenecks in documentation, customs holds, or carrier delays, then driving cross-functional corrective action within hours, not days.
  • • Maintain accurate broker commission files, ensuring timely and precise payments that keep our valued trade partners motivated and compliant.
  • • Cultivate trusted relationships across Sales, Production, Quality, Regulatory, and Finance teams, becoming the go-to expert who translates customer needs into executable supply chain solutions.
  • • Champion continuous improvement by documenting recurring issues, proposing system enhancements, and piloting new SOPs that raise the bar for global customer experience.
  • • Contribute to a culture of inclusion and growth by mentoring new team members, sharing market insights, and celebrating wins that showcase how “Our Best Is Made of Yours.”

🎯 Requirements

  • • 2+ years in supply chain, customer service, or account specialist roles, preferably within food or consumer goods
  • • Experience with SAP, advanced Excel, and Microsoft Office suite (preferred)
  • • Demonstrated ability to prioritize rapidly changing tasks under tight export deadlines
  • • Exceptional attention to detail for 100% accuracy on international documentation
