Inventory Planner

📋 Description

• • As an Inventory Planner at Poppy & Peonies, you will play a critical role in ensuring that the brand’s most-loved products are available when and where customers want them, directly supporting the company’s mission to deliver stylish, functional, and sustainable accessories across North America. Your work will bridge data-driven forecasting with operational execution, enabling the brand to scale confidently through product launches, viral moments, and expanding sales channels like TikTok Shop while maintaining its commitment to ethical and eco-conscious practices.
• • You will own end-to-end inventory planning and forecasting processes, including developing statistical models to predict demand across product lines, sales channels, and geographic regions (with a focus on Canada and the U.S.), analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and promotional calendars to generate accurate forecasts, and collaborating with merchandising, supply chain, and finance teams to align inventory levels with business goals and seasonal fluctuations.
• • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include monitoring real-time inventory performance, identifying risks of overstock or stockouts, recommending replenishment strategies, and adjusting plans based on sell-through rates, lead times, and warehouse capacity; you will also prepare and present inventory reports and insights to leadership to support strategic decisions around product launches, markdowns, and channel expansion.
• • You will work closely with the procurement and logistics teams to optimize purchase order timing and quantities, ensuring alignment with supplier lead times and warehouse receiving schedules, while also contributing to the development of safety stock policies and inventory turnover targets that balance service levels with working capital efficiency.
