- • As an IPA Loan Processor II at M&T Realty Capital Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of M&T Bank, you will play a critical role in the nationwide financing of commercial real estate. This position is central to ensuring the smooth and compliant processing of Agency/HUD/Life Company loans, directly impacting the success of our clients and the growth of our portfolio.
- • You will be the primary point of contact for all parties involved in the loan lifecycle, including borrowers, brokers, correspondents, originators, screeners, underwriters, closers, and delivery teams. Your ability to foster strong working relationships and communicate effectively will be paramount.
- • A key responsibility involves preparing and meticulously maintaining application exhibit checklists, ensuring all internal and external stakeholders have a clear understanding of required documentation and next steps.
- • You will be expected to strictly adhere to all company policies and procedures, maintaining the highest standards of compliance and operational integrity throughout the loan processing workflow.
- • Proactively schedule and lead internal and external kickoff meetings and weekly due diligence calls, setting clear agendas and driving discussions to ensure timely progress and resolution of any issues.
- • You will be responsible for the collection, organization, and thorough review of all application exhibit documents, scrutinizing them for completeness, consistency, and accuracy. Any discrepancies or findings will be promptly communicated to the underwriter and originator for swift action.
- • Maintain an organized and accessible digital filing system by saving all documentation within the Document Management System, ensuring easy retrieval and auditability.
- • Engage with internal and external parties in a timely and professional manner, addressing questions and providing necessary information to keep transactions moving forward efficiently.
- • Analyze organizational charts and related documents to accurately identify all relevant parties involved in a transaction, ensuring all due diligence requirements are met.
- • Prepare essential Agency/HUD/Life Company forms and certifications, distributing them to borrower contacts for completion and ensuring their accurate return.
- • Obtain, review, and analyze critical due diligence items such as credit reports, flood determinations, and internet searches, identifying and documenting any findings or deficiencies.
- • Manage the engagement and review of all third-party reports, including Appraisals, Engineering, Environmental, Green, Zoning, and Seniors Operation and Management reports, ensuring they meet the specific requirements of the Agency/HUD/Life Company and product type.
- • Guarantee the completeness and accuracy of Agency/HUD/Life Company application exhibits prior to submission, assembling both electronic and hard copy versions as required.
- • Assemble comprehensive Loan Packages for Committee review and approval, meticulously compiling all necessary documentation and approved signatures for distribution.
- • Save approved loan packages within the document management system, ensuring a complete and auditable record.
- • Provide valuable guidance and mentorship to less experienced staff members, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- • Act as a subject matter expert, serving as a point of reference for complex queries and actively identifying opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- • Design, implement, and maintain robust internal controls to proactively mitigate risk, ensuring ongoing compliance and identifying any risk-related issues that require escalation to management.
- • Demonstrate a deep understanding and unwavering adherence to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls, aligning with the Company’s Risk Appetite.
- • Contribute to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment that reflects the M&T Bank brand and values.
- • Undertake and complete other related duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to team success.
