- • As an IT Manager at Neara Inc., you will take full ownership of the company’s workplace systems, ensuring seamless operation of physical and digital infrastructure across global offices, directly enabling the mission to build resilient energy futures through AI-powered grid simulations.
- • Day to day, you will manage physical IT infrastructure (cabling, WiFi, laptops, printers), respond to and resolve support requests, oversee purchasing and vendor negotiations, handle employee onboarding and offboarding (devices, access, licenses), maintain core systems (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, domains, email), manage MDM environments, ensure SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance, and maintain on-premise servers and hardware.
- • Neara is a fast-growing technology company using advanced machine learning to create physics-enabled digital twins of electricity grids across four continents, empowering utilities to mitigate risks from extreme weather and structural stress, with a culture rooted in innovation, ownership, and real-world impact.
- • In this role, you will establish and scale Neara’s IT function from the ground up, gain deep experience in enterprise IT operations within a high-growth tech environment, develop expertise in compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO), and directly contribute to operational resilience and scalability across global teams.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of hands-on IT operations experience, ideally in a fast-paced, initiative-driven environment
- • Admin-level experience with Google Workspace and/or Microsoft 365
- • Hands-on MDM experience (Jamf, Intune, or similar)
- • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls)
- • Experience managing SSO (Okta, Google SSO, or similar)
- • Practical familiarity with SOC 2 and/or ISO 27001 IT controls
