Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • As the IT Operations Lead at ReflectionAI Inc., you will be instrumental in building and maintaining the technological backbone that supports our groundbreaking work in open superintelligence. This is a pivotal role where you will ensure the seamless operation, robust security, and optimal performance of our internal IT infrastructure, directly impacting our ability to innovate and scale. You will be the go-to person for all things IT, supporting a talented, globally distributed team of AI researchers and builders who hail from leading institutions like DeepMind, OpenAI, Google Brain, Meta, Character.AI, and Anthropic.
- • Your primary responsibility will be to provide comprehensive day-to-day technical support. This involves troubleshooting and resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity for both our onsite and remote employees. You will be the first line of defense, ensuring that our team has the tools and systems they need to operate without interruption.
- • A key aspect of this role is the end-to-end management of our IT environment. You will be responsible for provisioning, configuring, and maintaining all end-user devices, including laptops, desktops, and mobile devices, along with their associated peripherals. This includes managing the entire device lifecycle, from initial setup to retirement, ensuring all assets are tracked and managed efficiently.
- • You will play a crucial role in user lifecycle management, specifically focusing on user provisioning and de-provisioning through Rippling's IT module. This involves creating, modifying, and disabling user accounts, managing permissions, and ensuring access controls are correctly implemented across all our core systems. This includes essential platforms like email, collaboration tools (e.g., Slack), and various SaaS applications, ensuring that employees have the right access from day one and that access is promptly and securely revoked upon departure.
- • Supporting our rapid growth means you will be heavily involved in onboarding and offboarding processes. You will ensure that new team members are set up with the necessary hardware, software, and system access smoothly and efficiently, allowing them to become productive from the moment they join. Conversely, you will manage the secure and timely revocation of access and retrieval of assets for departing employees, maintaining our security posture.
- • Proactive monitoring and troubleshooting are essential. You will monitor the performance of our IT systems and networks, identifying potential bottlenecks or issues before they impact productivity. This includes diagnosing and resolving network connectivity problems, ensuring stable and reliable internet access for all employees.
- • You will contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of our office network infrastructure. This includes managing and troubleshooting wired and wireless networks, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. Ensuring a secure and high-performing network is paramount, especially as we expand our physical presence.
- • A significant part of your role will involve assisting with new office setups and expansions. This requires coordinating with service providers for internet service provisioning, overseeing network deployment, managing structured cabling installations, and liaising with various vendors to ensure new locations are fully equipped and operational.
- • You will also support and help coordinate the deployment and maintenance of audio-visual (AV) systems in our conference rooms. This includes ensuring video conferencing tools, displays, and other collaboration equipment are functioning correctly, facilitating seamless communication and collaboration for our hybrid workforce.
- • Maintaining the security and integrity of our systems is a top priority. You will be responsible for applying necessary patches, updates, and security configurations to endpoints and systems to protect against vulnerabilities. This proactive approach to security is critical in the fast-paced world of AI development.
- • You will maintain a comprehensive asset inventory and meticulously document all IT processes and procedures. This documentation is vital for scalability, knowledge sharing, and ensuring consistency across our IT operations.
- • Vendor management will be a regular part of your duties. You will coordinate with vendors for hardware procurement, internet services, AV installations, and ongoing technical support, ensuring we receive the best service and value.
- • You will participate in incident response activities, acting swiftly to address IT incidents and escalating issues to relevant parties when necessary, ensuring minimal disruption and rapid resolution.
- • This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the IT infrastructure of a company at the forefront of AI innovation. You will work closely with a small, talent-dense team, contributing directly to our mission of building open superintelligence and making it accessible to all. Your work will directly enable the research and development that defines the future of AI.
