📋 Description

• As a Java Software Engineer at KAYAK, part of Booking Holdings, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the world-leading travel search and booking technology that powers millions of travel queries daily across global platforms.
• You will optimize search and booking logic for high-demand corporate clients, build and maintain high-performance integrations with over 200 travel partners including airlines, hotels, and car rental providers, and take full ownership of features from concept to deployment while ensuring code quality and performance.
• You will join a high-powered, innovative team in Berlin that values autonomy and technical excellence, contributing to the K4B project’s modularity and reusability as KAYAK expands its enterprise travel solutions.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in Java backend systems, Spring ecosystem, API integrations, and distributed systems, while gaining exposure to travel industry standards like GDS and NDC, and growing your impact through leadership development and technical ownership.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years of experience in JAVA
• Hands-on experience with the Spring ecosystem (Spring/Spring Boot) and working knowledge of relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis)
• Strong English communication skills
• Ability to design and implement engineering initiatives with minimal guidance
