đź“‹ Description
- • As a Junior Account Manager EU at Back Market, you will play a pivotal role in driving sustainable commerce by managing and growing relationships with high-value smartphone and core category sellers across the European Union. Your work directly supports the company’s mission to reduce electronic waste and carbon emissions by making refurbished tech accessible, reliable, and desirable—turning every seller partnership into a measurable environmental win.
- • You will own the end-to-end performance of your seller portfolio, ensuring consistent sales growth and adherence to Back Market’s stringent quality standards across all European marketplaces. This includes monitoring key performance indicators, identifying risks and opportunities, and taking proactive steps to maintain seller health and marketplace integrity.
- • You will lead regular Business Reviews with sellers, conducting in-person visits and audits to assess operational capabilities, align on strategic goals, and co-develop action plans that enhance performance, compliance, and long-term partnership value. These interactions are critical for building trust and uncovering insights that shape platform-wide improvements.
- • You will synthesize field-level feedback from seller interactions to inform and refine Back Market’s broader business strategy, identifying patterns in seller needs, market trends, and operational challenges that can drive product, policy, or process innovations.
- • You will lead and participate in cross-functional projects—working closely with teams in Product, Operations, Legal, and Data—to design and implement tailored solutions that address seller pain points, streamline onboarding, improve dispute resolution, or enhance marketplace tools.
- • You will leverage data analytics tools to track seller performance, detect trends, forecast outcomes, and generate actionable insights that support decision-making at both the individual seller and portfolio levels. While prior experience with SQL or Tableau is a plus, a strong willingness to learn and apply analytics is essential.
- • You will collaborate daily with internal stakeholders across Sales, Customer Care, Trust & Safety, and Marketing to ensure alignment, resolve issues swiftly, and amplify the impact of your seller initiatives through coordinated campaigns and communications.
- • You will contribute to a culture of innovation and scrappiness by identifying gaps in existing processes or playbooks and taking initiative to build, test, and scale new frameworks that benefit the entire seller management team—turning ambiguity into opportunity.
- • You will grow professionally in a mission-driven, fast-paced environment where your contributions are visible, valued, and tied to both business success and planetary impact—offering rare opportunities to develop expertise in sustainable commerce, international account management, and data-informed decision-making.
- • You will join a globally recognized B Corp (93.2 score) that prioritizes equity, inclusion, and purpose, working alongside passionate colleagues who believe business can be a force for good—and where your growth is supported through mentorship, ERGs, and continuous learning initiatives.
🎯 Requirements

- • Experience in e-commerce, fast-growing startups, or marketplace environments is preferred
- • Strong project management skills with a track record of meeting deadlines, coordinating stakeholders, and delivering outcomes
- • Comfort with data-driven decision-making and a readiness to learn analytics tools like SQL or Tableau
- • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex business or technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences
- • Resourceful, adaptable, and entrepreneurial mindset—comfortable creating solutions where none exist
