- • Develop clean, efficient, and scalable backend services using NestJS and TypeScript to support Almedia’s AdTech platform serving millions of users.
- • Build and maintain integrations with external services for A/B testing and feature flagging to enable data-driven product decisions.
- • Deliver high-quality, testable code at a rapid pace while ensuring system reliability and performance across high-traffic environments.
- • Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot as part of daily workflows to enhance productivity and code quality.
- • Design and implement APIs using GraphQL, REST, and gRPC to facilitate seamless communication between microservices and client applications.
- • Work with message queues including RabbitMQ and Google Pub/Sub to manage asynchronous data flows and event-driven architectures.
- • Manage and optimize data storage systems including MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and BigQuery to support real-time analytics and user engagement tracking.
- • Containerize services using Docker and orchestrate deployments via Kubernetes in a GitLab CI/CD pipeline to ensure consistent and automated releases.
- • Monitor system health and performance using Datadog to proactively identify bottlenecks, errors, and scalability issues.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, frontend, and data teams to align technical implementation with business goals and user needs.
- • Take full ownership of assigned features and services from design through deployment and post-launch monitoring.
- • Contribute to improving DevOps and SRE practices to enhance system resilience, observability, and operational efficiency.
- • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing to maintain high engineering standards across the team.
- • Help scale the backend infrastructure to support Almedia’s rapid growth as Europe’s #3 fastest-growing company in 2025 (FT1000).
- • Work within a microservices architecture to ensure modular, maintainable, and independently deployable components.
- • Contribute to building the future of marketing by enabling user reward systems that connect advertisers with a community of over 70 million users.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong experience in web development with TypeScript and NestJS
- • Production experience with MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and BigQuery
- • Understanding of scalable systems and microservices architecture
- • Ownership mindset with ability to take full responsibility for code and systems
- • Strong English communication skills for effective collaboration
- • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and GitLab CI/CD
