- • Perform State Encounter coding activities using CPT and E&M codes in alignment with AMA coding standards and state-specific submission requirements.
- • Accurately select codes that reflect the complexity, medical decision-making, and time documented by providers for each clinical encounter.
- • Ensure all coding decisions are fully supported by available clinical documentation and adhere to regulatory compliance guidelines.
- • Document coding rationale and decisions using standardized templates and internal tools provided by IntusCare.
- • Maintain consistent coding accuracy and quality across all assigned encounters to meet team and regulatory benchmarks.
- • Participate in regular quality review sessions and incorporate feedback to improve coding performance and consistency.
- • Identify and flag incomplete, unclear, or missing clinical documentation for escalation to senior coding staff or managers.
- • Complete daily and weekly coding volume targets as assigned by the Risk Adjustment team, adhering to established productivity standards.
- • Follow defined workflows and deadlines for encounter submission, ensuring timely processing and compliance with state reporting requirements.
- • Utilize designated coding platforms and internal software systems to perform all coding tasks efficiently and accurately.
- • Escalate workflow blockers, technical issues, or coding ambiguities to the Manager of Risk Adjustment or senior coders in a timely manner.
- • Work within a structured, quality-controlled environment designed to support the development of foundational coding skills.
- • Support IntusCare’s mission to improve care coordination and financial performance for Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) through precise and compliant coding practices.
- • Operate in a fully remote capacity with scheduled work hours from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in your local timezone, Monday through Friday.
🎯 Requirements
- • Active coding certification (CPC, CCS, RHIT, or CRC preferred)
- • Basic understanding of medical terminology and diagnosis coding
- • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow defined processes

- • Hourly rate of $24.00
- • 40 hours per week, scheduled 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. in your timezone
- • Fully remote position based in the United States
