Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Serve on the front line of national security as a Junior OPIR Analyst, where you will exploit and analyze Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) and other remotely sensed data to produce actionable intelligence products that directly inform critical defense, intelligence, and homeland-security decisions. Every pixel you examine and every pattern you uncover can shape U.S. and allied operations around the globe.
- • Maintain continuous analyst proficiency while proactively developing new tradecraft, tools, and methodologies that better anticipate and satisfy dynamic customer requirements. You will be expected to stay ahead of emerging sensor capabilities, data-processing advances, and adversary countermeasures, turning raw data into decisive insight faster than ever before.
- • Translate high-level Key Intelligence Questions (KIQs) into precise collection requirements, ensuring that each PIR (Priority Intelligence Requirement) product is tailored to the exact mission needs of operational commanders, policy makers, and field teams. Your ability to frame the right question often determines whether a mission succeeds or fails.
- • Identify, cultivate, and expand customer relationships across the defense and intelligence communities. By understanding each customer’s unique decision cycle, you will increase mission impact, shorten feedback loops, and position Altamira as the partner of choice for next-generation analytic solutions.
- • Collaborate daily with In-Depth Analytical teams—geospatial, SIGINT, HUMINT, and all-source analysts—to articulate operational needs and ensure that fused products meet rigorous accuracy, timeliness, and classification standards. Your technical fluency will bridge sensor phenomenology with end-user context.
- • Author and deliver concise, high-impact written reports and briefings that translate complex technical findings into clear, decision-ready intelligence for audiences ranging from senior Pentagon leaders to tactical warfighters. Your storytelling skills will turn terabytes of data into a single, compelling narrative.
- • Participate in a 24×7 operations floor, working rotating shifts that ensure continuous coverage of global events. Shift schedules are designed to balance mission demands with employee well-being, and remote-work flexibility allows you to perform from any CONUS location while maintaining secure connectivity.
- • Leverage Altamira’s culture of innovation—where common standards in architecture, data, and security empower analysts to focus on mission outcomes rather than infrastructure hurdles. You will have direct access to cloud-scale processing, advanced analytics sandboxes, and cross-domain collaboration tools.
- • Contribute to internal knowledge bases and mentor pipelines, documenting best practices and lessons learned so that every analyst—junior or senior—can build on collective expertise. Your growth mindset will help shape the next generation of tradecraft.
- • Engage in regular professional-development opportunities, including classified tech talks, vendor road-map sessions, and funded certifications, ensuring that your skills remain at the cutting edge of OPIR and multi-INT analysis.
