• • Architect & Evolve Global Networks: Design, deploy, and refine resilient, high-performance network solutions across routing, switching, wireless, ACLs, and VPNs that power mission-critical websites and applications for thousands of businesses worldwide. Your blueprints will directly shape the backbone of CloudOne Digital’s multi-brand hosting ecosystem.
• • Own End-to-End Reliability: Monitor, tune, and harden the Liquid Web network 24×7 using industry-leading tools and telemetry. You’ll set SLIs/SLOs, automate alerting, and drive proactive fixes that keep uptime measured in “nines” rather than minutes.
• • Be the Escalation Expert: When front-line teams hit a wall on complex connectivity, latency, or security anomalies, you step in. Deep-dive packet captures, BGP path analysis, and firewall rule forensics are your daily playground; restoring service and writing the post-mortem are your pride.
• • Security-First Mindset: Identify, prioritize, and mitigate risks—from zero-day vulnerabilities to subtle misconfigurations—before they become incidents. You’ll craft ACLs, IPS rules, and segmentation policies that balance bullet-proof security with sub-millisecond performance.
• • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work shoulder-to-shoulder with infrastructure, security, and DevOps squads to deliver large-scale projects—think new data-center turn-ups, global MPLS-to-SD-WAN migrations, or IPv6 rollouts—on time and under budget.
• • Mentor & Multiply: Create crisp runbooks, topology diagrams, and wiki articles that turn tribal knowledge into shared assets. Coach junior engineers during incident bridges and lunch-and-learns, raising the technical bar for the entire five-person network team.
• • Travel with Purpose: Occasionally travel to Lansing and Southfield data centers to rack gear, validate cabling, and perform on-site troubleshooting. A valid driver’s license and clean record keep these trips smooth and safe.
• • Continuous Improvement Culture: Champion automation (Ansible, Python, or Bash) to eliminate toil, propose hardware refresh cycles, and evaluate emerging technologies like SR-MPLS or AI-driven NOC tooling. Your curiosity keeps CloudOne Digital ahead of the curve.
