  • • You will own the end-to-end success of your seller portfolio, driving sales performance, maintaining high-quality standards, and identifying growth opportunities through data-informed strategies. This role sits at the intersection of account management, business strategy, and cross-functional collaboration, where your insights from the field will help shape Back Market’s broader seller enablement and marketplace optimization initiatives.
  • • You will be part of a mission-driven, innovative, and rapidly expanding Seller Success team within Back Market’s UK operations, working closely with colleagues in Sales, Product, Operations, and Data Analytics to deliver tailored solutions that empower sellers to thrive in a competitive refurbished tech landscape.
  • • In this role, you will develop advanced skills in strategic account management, data analysis for business performance, stakeholder alignment, and project leadership in a high-growth environment. You’ll gain hands-on experience shaping marketplace strategy, influencing product decisions through seller feedback, and building scalable processes — all while contributing to a company recognized as a B Corp leader with a 93.2 score for social and environmental performance.
  • • What the person will do day to day:
  • • Manage a curated portfolio of UK-based seller partners, acting as their primary point of contact to drive engagement, resolve issues, and unlock growth opportunities across Back Market’s European marketplaces.
  • • Own and improve key performance indicators including sales volume, conversion rates, return rates, and seller compliance, using data to identify trends, risks, and optimization levers for each merchant.
  • • Prepare and lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with sellers, presenting performance insights, co-creating strategic action plans, and aligning on goals for market expansion, product assortment, and customer experience enhancements.
  • • Conduct virtual and occasional in-person visits to seller operations to assess logistics, customer service capabilities, and quality control processes, ensuring alignment with Back Market’s standards for trust and reliability.
  • • Leverage SQL, Tableau, or similar analytics tools to extract, analyze, and visualize seller performance data, build dashboards, and generate forecasts that inform both tactical decisions and long-term marketplace strategy.
  • • Lead and contribute to cross-functional projects — such as onboarding improvements, fee structure adjustments, or seller incentive programs — by gathering field feedback, coordinating with Product and Ops teams, and piloting solutions that enhance seller success and platform health.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with UK-based sellers and internal stakeholders.
  • • 1–2 years of experience in customer success, account management, or a related client-facing role, demonstrating ability to manage relationships and drive outcomes.
  • • Strong relationship and portfolio management skills, with proven ability to nurture multiple partner relationships while maintaining high satisfaction and performance standards.
  • • Project management capabilities, including organizing tasks, managing timelines, coordinating cross-functional input, and delivering results without oversight.
  • • Comfort and confidence in discussing both business and technical concepts, enabling effective collaboration with non-technical and technical teams alike.
  • • Resourceful and scrappy mindset — proactive in identifying gaps, experimenting with solutions, and building processes where none exist, especially in fast-moving environments.
