- • Vultr is on a mission to revolutionize cloud infrastructure, making it accessible, affordable, and high-performing for enterprises and AI innovators globally. With an impressive network of 32 data centers spanning the globe, Vultr has earned the trust of hundreds of thousands of customers across 185 countries. We provide flexible, scalable, and robust solutions including Cloud Compute, Cloud GPU, Bare Metal, and Cloud Storage. Our significant growth is underscored by a recent equity financing announcement in December 2024, valuing Vultr at $3.5 billion. Founded by David Aninowsky and sustained through self-funding for over a decade, Vultr stands as the world's largest privately-held cloud infrastructure company. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Junior Test Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team and report to the Site Reliability Engineering Manager.
- • This is a pivotal role for an individual passionate about UI and API test automation, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-growth technology company. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and reliability of Vultr's cutting-edge cloud infrastructure solutions. As a Junior Test Automation Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing, maintaining, and enhancing our automated testing frameworks, directly impacting the user experience and the stability of our services. This position requires a proactive approach, a keen eye for detail, and a strong desire to learn and grow within the cloud computing domain.
- • Your primary responsibility will be Test Automation Development. This involves writing efficient, maintainable, and robust UI and API tests. You will be expected to implement comprehensive test cases that cover various functionalities and scenarios, ensuring thorough validation of our platform. A critical aspect of this responsibility includes meticulous documentation of test scripts, methodologies, and results. This documentation is vital for transparency, reproducibility, and knowledge sharing across engineering teams. You will also be responsible for generating clear and concise test reports, providing insights into the quality of our releases and identifying areas for improvement.
- • Equally important is Test Automation Maintenance. As Vultr's services evolve and customer usage patterns change, it is essential that our automated tests remain relevant and effective. You will be tasked with maintaining and updating existing test suites to ensure they continue to accurately reflect the current state of our services and support the ways our customers interact with Vultr. This includes diagnosing and fixing flaky tests, optimizing test execution times, and adapting tests to accommodate new features or architectural changes.
- • Collaboration is a cornerstone of our engineering culture. You will work closely with other engineering teams, including Software Development, Quality Assurance, and Site Reliability Engineering. This cross-functional collaboration is essential for aligning development efforts with Vultr's core objectives of reliability, scalability, and overall business success. By fostering strong working relationships, you will gain a deep understanding of our systems and contribute to a unified approach to quality assurance.
- • You will also be responsible for producing high-quality test plans for APIs, systems, and processes. These plans will serve as blueprints for our testing strategies, ensuring that we systematically address stability, speed, and scalability concerns. Developing comprehensive test plans requires a thorough understanding of system architecture, potential failure points, and performance metrics. Your contributions here will directly influence the robustness and efficiency of Vultr's cloud infrastructure.
- • This role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a tangible impact on a rapidly expanding global company. You will be at the forefront of ensuring the quality of services used by a vast international customer base. Your work will directly contribute to Vultr's reputation for reliability and performance, solidifying our position as a leader in the cloud infrastructure market. We encourage a culture of continuous learning and provide an environment where you can expand your skills in test automation, cloud technologies, and software development best practices. Join us and leave your mark on Vultr and the future of cloud infrastructure.
