  • • As a Key Account Manager for Global Accounts (internally titled National Account Manager), you will be instrumental in the local deployment, adoption, and sustained growth of our largest multinational accounts.
  • • You will be a critical local partner, responsible for activating new use cases, providing hands-on support for initial projects, and proactively resolving any operational challenges that may arise.
  • • Your core mission is to leverage your understanding of the DACH market to provide invaluable country-specific insights that will facilitate the international scaling of our global enterprise client base.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic and diverse team of 600 Malters across 6 European countries, contributing to a culture that champions equality and inclusive growth.

  • • As a Key Account Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for our global enterprise clients within the DACH region, building and nurturing strong, long-term relationships.
  • • You will be responsible for understanding the unique business needs and strategic objectives of these clients and translating them into actionable plans for Malt's platform and services.
  • • This involves identifying opportunities to expand the use of Malt's services within client organizations, from initial pilot projects to full-scale integration across multiple departments and geographies.
  • • You will collaborate closely with internal Malt teams, including Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Operations, to ensure seamless delivery and exceptional client experiences.
  • • A significant part of your role will involve educating clients on the benefits and functionalities of the Malt platform, driving user adoption, and ensuring they derive maximum value from our services.
  • • You will proactively monitor client satisfaction and engagement levels, identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • • You will also be responsible for gathering feedback from clients regarding their experience with Malt, relaying this information to relevant internal teams to inform product development and service improvements.
  • • In addition to supporting existing use cases, you will actively seek out and develop new opportunities for clients to leverage Malt's freelance talent pool, aligning with their evolving business needs.
  • • This includes understanding emerging trends in the gig economy and freelance workforce and advising clients on how to best utilize these trends through Malt.
  • • You will act as a trusted advisor, providing strategic guidance on workforce planning, talent acquisition, and project management using freelance professionals.
  • • The role requires a deep understanding of the enterprise client landscape, including their procurement processes, internal stakeholder management, and decision-making hierarchies.
  • • You will be expected to develop and execute account plans that outline growth strategies, key initiatives, and success metrics for each of your assigned global accounts.
  • • This will involve regular business reviews with clients to assess progress, address challenges, and identify new opportunities for collaboration and expansion.
  • • You will also be responsible for forecasting revenue and managing the commercial aspects of your accounts, ensuring predictable growth and profitability.
  • • A key aspect of your role will be to champion the Malt platform internally and externally, becoming an expert on its capabilities and value proposition.
  • • You will contribute to the development of best practices for global account management, sharing your knowledge and experience with the wider team.
  • • Your ability to navigate complex organizational structures and build consensus among diverse stakeholders will be crucial for success.
  • • You will be expected to stay abreast of market trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory changes that may impact our clients and the freelance industry.
  • • Ultimately, your success will be measured by your ability to drive client retention, expand revenue within your accounts, and foster deep, lasting partnerships that contribute to Malt's overall growth and mission.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Proven experience in Key Account Management, Enterprise Sales, or a similar client-facing role, with a track record of managing and growing large, complex accounts.
  • • Strong understanding of the DACH market, including its business culture, economic landscape, and enterprise client needs.
  • • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales/account management tools.
  • • Fluency in German and English (written and spoken).
