- • In this dynamic, full-time, non-exempt role, you will be the frontline expert, diagnosing and repairing a wide array of commercial kitchen equipment, including cooking appliances, refrigeration units, ware-washing systems, and other specialized food service machinery.
- • Your primary mission will be to provide comprehensive service solutions, demonstrating a strong mechanical aptitude, sharp troubleshooting skills, and the ability to interpret complex diagrams and schematics to pinpoint and resolve issues effectively.
- • You will engage directly with restaurant and hospitality managers, building strong partnerships by offering reliable and timely repair services that minimize downtime and maintain operational integrity.
- • A key aspect of your role involves meticulous diagnosis and repair of commercial kitchen equipment, requiring a deep understanding of mechanical, electrical, and potentially refrigeration systems.
- • You will collaborate closely with manufacturers when necessary, leveraging their expertise to aid in complex diagnoses and identify the correct replacement parts.
- • For challenging technical issues, you will have the support of our dedicated Technical Assistance Group, consulting with them while on-site to ensure the most effective solutions are implemented.
- • The installation of ordered parts will be conducted in a timely, professional manner, strictly adhering to company policies and manufacturer guidelines to guarantee optimal equipment performance.
- • Beyond direct repairs, you will act as a brand ambassador, identifying opportunities to promote and recommend other valuable services offered by Smart Care to customers, thereby enhancing their overall operational efficiency and satisfaction.
- • Accurate and prompt administrative documentation is crucial; you will be responsible for completing work orders, time reports, receipts, and maintaining precise truck stock inventory, ensuring seamless operational flow and financial accuracy.
- • Safety is paramount. You will consistently follow safe work practices and accident prevention procedures, maintaining a secure working environment for yourself and the client's staff.
- • Your service vehicle will be your mobile workshop. Maintaining a neat, orderly vehicle, along with accurate parts and tool inventory, is essential for efficiency and professionalism.
- • You will be expected to meet and maintain productivity levels in accordance with company standards, balancing quality of work with efficient service delivery.
- • This role requires a commitment to continuous learning, with opportunities for on-the-job training, access to on-demand technical support, and formal hands-on and classroom training at our National Training Kitchen.

- • The role involves physical demands, including the ability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, reach, and occasionally lift and carry up to 70 pounds. You will also work with moving mechanical parts, pressurized steam equipment, open flames, heated surfaces, liquids, and in environments with potential electrical shock risks, often in damp, humid, or freezing conditions. Work may also involve ladders, roofs, and other high places.
- • You will be part of an emergency on-call rotation, which includes nights and weekends, ensuring continuous support for our clients.
- • Occasional overnight travel may be required as assigned, contributing to the comprehensive service coverage Smart Care provides.
- • This is a role for a self-starter who can prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal direct supervision, while also being a collaborative team player when needed.
