- • As Land Acquisition Lead at Intersect Technologies, you will lead the strategy and execution of complex land acquisition efforts that enable large-scale energy projects to move forward, combining deal-making, team leadership, and project governance to ensure land campaigns are executed efficiently and aligned with development timelines.
- • You will drive land deal execution by leading and closing complex land agreements across wind, solar, transmission, battery storage, mineral waivers, and purchase options, structuring creative deal terms, managing risk, and coordinating with legal and due diligence teams.
- • You will lead land campaigns and teams by overseeing multiple active projects, managing and mentoring direct reports and third-party land agents, and coordinating cross-functionally with Development, Engineering, Community Engagement, and Legal teams.
- • You will own strategy and governance by setting land acquisition strategies aligned with project goals, overseeing budgets and forecasts, maintaining reporting and governance, and identifying and mitigating risks.
- • Intersect Technologies is a mission-driven team focused on preserving the planet through innovative energy solutions, recently agreed to be acquired by Google to accelerate data center and energy infrastructure development, while maintaining operational independence under the Intersect brand.
- • The company fosters deep social connections through flexible work arrangements and quarterly Team Week experiences at hub locations in SF Bay Area, NYC Metro, Denver, Austin, Calgary, and Toronto, with candidates expected to reside within 60 miles of a hub to support in-person collaboration.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of land experience, including 5+ years leading land teams on energy infrastructure projects
- • Proven track record of structuring and closing complex land agreements within the energy industry
- • Experience leading teams, including direct reports and third-party agents, while driving accountability across multiple workstreams
- • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, or a related field, or professional designations such as AAPL, CALEP, IRWA (or equivalent experience)
- • Familiarity with land acquisition practices across energy infrastructure projects and key industry players
