We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced LATAM Head Lead Institutional BD to spearhead our strategic initiatives in Latin America, with a specific focus on driving institutional adoption and real-world usage.
• • In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in establishing Monad as the blockchain platform of choice for a diverse range of entities across Latin America, including major enterprises, leading financial institutions, and innovative payment providers. Your primary responsibility will be to cultivate and manage strategic relationships that foster significant enterprise adoption and seamless institutional integration within the Monad ecosystem.
• • You will serve as the primary ambassador for Monad, engaging directly with key decision-makers within institutions that significantly influence market dynamics throughout the LATAM region. Your focus will span critical use cases such as revolutionizing payment systems, enabling the tokenization of Real-World Assets (RWAs), and transforming capital markets through blockchain technology.
• • Key responsibilities will include building and activating a robust network of relationships with enterprises, financial institutions, payment providers, and regulatory bodies. You will be tasked with driving the expansion of Monad's presence and facilitating market entry strategies within regional payment infrastructures and for enterprise blockchain adoption initiatives.
• • A significant part of your role will involve negotiating and closing strategic deals that not only bring substantial capital investment into the Monad ecosystem but also drive significant retail adoption. This requires a deep understanding of market needs and the ability to articulate Monad's value proposition effectively.
• • You will act as the crucial liaison between Monad and regulatory authorities, as well as policy makers, ensuring compliance and fostering a collaborative environment for innovation. Navigating the complex regulatory landscape of LATAM will be a key aspect of this responsibility.
• • You will own the definition and achievement of ambitious goals and success metrics related to institutional adoption and enterprise integration across the entire Latin American region. This involves setting clear targets and developing strategies to meet and exceed them.
• • Furthermore, you will be responsible for identifying and executing high-impact opportunities that strategically accelerate Monad's market position and competitive advantage in the region. This requires a proactive and forward-thinking approach to market development.
• • The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of 8 years of experience in business development, corporate development, or a related field within the fintech, payments, or cryptocurrency sectors. Fluency in Spanish is essential, with native proficiency being highly preferred, and Portuguese skills are considered a significant advantage.
• • Exceptional English communication skills are mandatory, enabling you to confidently navigate complex business discussions and build enduring trust across diverse cultural landscapes. Your ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively at the executive level will be critical in earning the confidence of senior decision-makers within large, intricate organizations.
• • A proven track record of deep, established relationships with major enterprises, financial institutions, payment companies, and regulators across LATAM is a prerequisite for this role. These existing connections will be invaluable in accelerating our market penetration.
• • You must demonstrate exceptional ownership and self-motivation, consistently taking initiative, driving projects forward, and meticulously following through to deliver tangible and meaningful outcomes. This role demands a high degree of autonomy and accountability.
• • Strong written communication skills are essential, alongside proven experience working effectively cross-functionally with remote teams and counterparties within mid-to-large-sized organizations. Collaboration and clear documentation are key.
• • You are an outstanding communicator and storyteller, capable of seamlessly transitioning between technical discussions and business-focused narratives, effectively bridging the gap between complex technology and strategic business objectives.
• • Experience working directly with central banks, regulators, or policy makers in LATAM is a highly desirable asset. A background in stablecoins, payment rails, or institutional crypto products would further enhance your candidacy.
• • A deep technical understanding of how crypto and/or payment stacks function is beneficial, allowing for more informed strategic discussions and product development insights.
• • This is a remote position, but candidates based in Mexico, Brazil, or Argentina are preferred, with the understanding that frequent travel across the region will be required to foster relationships and close deals.
