Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Own the critical first impression: every new merchant you onboard becomes a long-term success story for a fast-growing Shopify subscription platform that already powers 20 million in ARR and is scaling organically. You are the bridge between ambitious e-commerce brands and the technology that will run their recurring-revenue engine for years.
  • • Lead end-to-end technical launches. From the moment a contract is signed, you configure the merchant’s Shopify environment, inject custom Liquid logic, wire up discount rules, subscription cadences, and customer portals, and then shepherd the store through QA, UAT, and go-live—often within the same day.
  • • Build bespoke storefront components in TypeScript and Liquid. Whether it’s a one-hour tweak to a checkout flow or a five-hour overhaul of a multi-currency, multi-language subscription experience, you translate merchant wish-lists into pixel-perfect, conversion-optimized reality.
  • • Architect subscriber self-service portals. You design and implement intuitive dashboards where end-customers can pause, skip, swap, or upgrade their subscriptions—reducing churn and support tickets while increasing lifetime value for the merchant.
  • • Serve as the technical voice of the customer. Via email, Slack, and Zoom, you field questions ranging from “Why isn’t my discount code stacking?” to “How do we migrate 50,000 active subscribers without downtime?” You document every answer so the knowledge base—and the product—gets smarter over time.
  • • Troubleshoot in real time. When a launch hits an edge case—say, a third-party inventory sync misfires—you dive into SQL logs, replay webhook payloads, and patch the gap before the merchant’s morning coffee gets cold.
  • • Collaborate daily with a globally distributed team of 65 colleagues. Morning stand-ups set priorities; afternoon deep-work blocks let you ship. You’ll demo new features, propose UX improvements, and occasionally jump on emergency calls to save a launch.
  • • Influence the roadmap. Your front-line insights feed directly into product sprints. If three merchants in a week ask for prepaid gift subscriptions, you surface the pattern and help scope the API extension.
  • • Continuously level up. The company doubles in size every year; your responsibilities will, too. You’ll be encouraged to explore Web3 loyalty integrations, experiment with headless Shopify architectures, or automate internal tooling—whatever sparks your curiosity and drives merchant success.
  • • Champion best practices. You create reusable code snippets, write internal runbooks, and host office hours so newer engineers ramp faster and every launch feels as smooth as the last.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 1–2 years of front-end web development experience with demonstrable proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • • Solid hands-on experience with SQL-based databases—writing queries, optimizing indexes, and debugging data discrepancies
  • • Linux/Unix administration skills: comfortable navigating servers, reading logs, and scripting repetitive tasks
  • • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • • Experience with Shopify and its Liquid templating language (direct work on Shopify themes or apps)
  • • Nice to have: familiarity with JSON manipulation, CSV data wrangling, JavaScript frameworks, Shopify Subscriptions API, or internal tooling development

🏖️ Benefits

  • • 100 % remote work environment with flexible hours—work wherever and whenever you’re most productive
  • • Unlimited PTO—take the time you need to recharge without bureaucratic limits
  • • 100 % employer-covered health insurance for you and eligible dependents
  • • All necessary tech equipment provided—MacBook, monitor, peripherals, and any SaaS tools you need to excel
  • • Opportunity to make a significant impact in a profitable, fast-growing company where your code touches millions of end-customers
