Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the 2026 growth and scalability strategy for AccuTrade IMS (Inventory Management Solution), our newest product line purpose-built to revolutionize how dealerships manage, price, and turn inventory in real time.
- • Translate dealer pain points into a living, data-driven roadmap that balances high-impact customer value with bottom-line ROI, ensuring every sprint moves the needle on revenue, retention, and market share.
- • Lead a cross-functional squad of designers, engineers, researchers, analysts, sales, marketing, and operations to ship features that reduce days-on-lot, increase gross profit per unit, and create a frictionless trade-in to retail workflow.
- • Serve as the primary voice of the customer—spending 25-30 % of your time on dealer calls, ride-alongs, and NPS interviews—then synthesize qualitative insights with SQL-driven dashboards to prioritize epics that matter most.
- • Coach and mentor 2-3 junior Product Managers, running weekly story-critique sessions, OKR reviews, and career-development plans so the entire product organization levels up together.
- • Define, instrument, and monitor product KPIs (e.g., inventory turn velocity, appraisal-to-retail conversion, subscription ARR) and publish monthly business reviews that influence executive investment decisions.
- • Collaborate with external data, logistics, and remarketing partners to integrate APIs that feed real-time market pricing, transportation costs, and auction valuations directly into the IMS interface.
- • Partner with Sales Enablement to craft crisp value propositions, ROI calculators, and demo scripts that shorten the enterprise sales cycle and unlock six-figure expansion deals.
- • Work with Customer Onboarding and Support to streamline implementation playbooks, reduce time-to-first-value to under 14 days, and create self-service resources that scale without adding headcount.
- • Champion lean experimentation—running A/B tests, concierge MVPs, and rapid prototypes—to validate assumptions early, kill low-value bets quickly, and double-down on winners.
- • Establish yourself as the go-to thought leader for inventory management innovation by speaking at NADA, publishing blog posts, and hosting quarterly dealer advisory councils.
- • Communicate roadmap updates, trade-off decisions, and launch retrospectives across Cars Commerce’s matrixed organization, ensuring alignment with Cars.com, Dealer Inspire, and Dealerclub initiatives.
- • Model our “Rise Together” culture by actively seeking diverse perspectives, challenging assumptions respectfully, and taking ownership of outcomes—even when it means having hard conversations.
- • Drive continuous process improvement: refine story definition, tighten acceptance criteria, and evangelize agile ceremonies that keep teams focused, energized, and accountable.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years as a Product Manager in a commercial SaaS environment with a demonstrable record of delivering double-digit revenue growth or cost savings across a full product line.
- • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Economics, or related field (MBA or advanced degree a plus).
- • Deep fluency in product management fundamentals: lean discovery, agile delivery, OKR setting, KPI instrumentation, and roadmap prioritization frameworks (RICE, MoSCoW, or similar).
- • Proven ability to translate complex customer workflows into simple, scalable software—ideally within automotive, e-commerce, marketplaces, or logistics sectors.
- • Hands-on experience with SQL, Tableau, or equivalent tools to query data, build dashboards, and make evidence-based decisions without waiting for analysts.
- • Track record of partnering with Sales and Marketing to craft value props, pricing models, and enablement assets that accelerate enterprise deals.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive base salary of $154,200–$192,750 plus annual performance bonus and equity refreshers.
- • Remote-first culture with a $1,000 new-hire stipend to build your ideal home office and quarterly connectivity reimbursements.
- • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans from day one, plus HSA/FSA and 401(k) with 4 % company match.
- • Generous PTO policy, nine paid holidays, one floating holiday, one volunteer day, and “Refuel” sabbaticals for service-based recognition.
