- • Day to day, the Lead Project Coordinator will oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of assigned internal projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and scope are met while facilitating cross-functional collaboration between clinical, technical, and administrative teams.
- • They will implement and refine project management methodologies, including Agile frameworks, to standardize processes, improve transparency, and enhance team productivity across distributed remote teams in the US.
- • The role involves mentoring and guiding junior Project Coordinators, fostering professional development, and establishing clear performance expectations to build a high-performing, cohesive team.
- • They will proactively identify risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks in project workflows, developing mitigation strategies and escalating issues appropriately to ensure timely delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.
- • The Lead Project Coordinator will maintain comprehensive project documentation, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and prepare regular status reports for leadership to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
- • They will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and data teams to align project goals with platform development cycles, ensuring that FHIR-based data liberation initiatives are delivered on schedule and with high fidelity.
- • This role supports end-to-end coordination of special projects, including process improvements, tool integrations, and compliance initiatives, contributing to organizational scalability and operational resilience.
- • By championing a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous learning, the Lead Project Coordinator will help strengthen Smile Digital Health’s internal capabilities, enabling the company to scale its impact in global health data interoperability.
- • The individual in this role will gain deep exposure to healthcare technology, regulatory considerations in data management, and agile leadership practices, positioning them for advancement into senior program or operations management roles within the health tech sector.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- • Minimum 5 years of experience in project coordination or project management, with proven success in leading teams and managing complex, cross-functional initiatives.
- • Demonstrated expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project management tools such as Jira, Asana, or Microsoft Project.
- • Strong understanding of healthcare data standards, particularly FHIR, HL7, or similar interoperability frameworks, is highly preferred.
- • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels in a remote work environment.
- • Experience mentoring or supervising junior team members and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
