- • Lead Software Engineer / Tech Lead Manager, Growth role at Maximus Tribe, a mission-driven consumer performance medicine telehealth company with 8-figure ARR and profitability, focused on optimizing men's and women's health, wellness, and hormones through content, community, and clinical support.
- • Split time 50/50 between management and coding, leading a small engineering team to own the lower acquisition funnel from flow start through checkout across all Maximus protocols, with north star metric of Flow Start to Checkout CVR and M1 Retention guardrail.
- • Work directly with a Sr. PM and Sr. Designer, reporting to the Head of Engineering, in a fully remote role across North and South America, driving conversion-focused growth strategy that makes paid channels more efficient through superior product experience.
- • Deliver protocol-level A/B experiments using Amplitude, ship full-stack features in Rails and React, coach engineers through 1:1s and code reviews, own experiment design including sample sizing and metric selection, iterate on payment platform integrations, build experimentation infrastructure, partner with data engineering on cohort-level retention tracking, and drive adoption of AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code and Devin.
- • In first 90 days: complete BNPL migration to Klarna across all protocols; in first two quarters: launch activation satisfaction survey for retention guardrail and build cohort-level experiment tracking; compound learning over time to scale acquisition engine with real authority and accountability.
🎯 Requirements
- • Led a team of 4-8 engineers before with direct reports you grew and retained
- • Shipped and measured growth experiments in a subscription product (signup funnels, checkout optimization, pricing and plan architecture)
- • Write production Ruby on Rails and React code and expect to keep doing so (strongly preferred); Javascript (Node), Python also acceptable
- • Can design an experiment, pick the right metric, set a sample size, and explain trade-offs to a PM who wants to ship faster
- • Think in funnels and cohorts, not just features
- • Comfortable with event-sourced systems or similar architectural patterns where state is derived from event streams
- • Use agentic AI coding tools (Claude Code, Devin, Cursor, or similar) in daily workflow and have opinions on integrating them into team development process
