• • Lead the reliability revolution at Europe’s flash-sales pioneer. As Lead SRE Engineer for Sales Preparation you will steer a squad of six passionate SREs who keep Veepee’s 3.3-billion-euro marketplace humming during the most traffic-intense moments of the year. Your leadership directly protects revenue, brand reputation and the thrill of 20 million members hunting for tomorrow’s deals.
• • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of deployment automation. You will design and industrialise CI/CD pipelines (blue-green, canary, rollback) that allow 200+ micro-services to be released multiple times per day without breaking stride. Every pipeline you improve shaves minutes off go-live, translating into faster campaign launches and happier brand partners.
• • Architect resilient, self-healing infrastructure. Using Terraform, Ansible, Docker and Kubernetes you will automate the provisioning of on-prem KVM clusters and hybrid-cloud resources so that capacity can triple within minutes when a Louis-Vuitton sale drops. You will codify golden paths that turn infrastructure into versioned, testable artefacts.
• • Champion observability that tells the story before users do. Implement Prometheus, ELK and custom dashboards that surface golden signals (latency, traffic, errors, saturation) to both engineers and business stakeholders. You will run load tests that simulate 10× normal traffic and turn findings into actionable SLOs that protect conversion rates.
• • Be the calm during the storm. Structure an on-call rotation that balances life and pager duty, create blameless post-mortems and feed every lesson back into code and run-books. Your incident-response playbooks will be so clear that even a new graduate can recover a failing payment gateway at 3 a.m.
• • Bridge worlds between dev, ops and the Network Operations Center. You will translate functional requirements into non-functional acceptance criteria, negotiate capacity budgets with finance and translate security mandates into guardrails that developers actually enjoy using.
• • Drive the VMware-to-KVM migration that will cut €1 million in licensing costs while improving performance. You will build migration factories, run dark launches and prove that open-source stacks can outperform proprietary hypervisors at petabyte scale.
• • Cultivate a culture of continuous learning. Organise internal guilds, lightning talks and game-days where teams break production on purpose to learn. You will mentor engineers on SRE patterns, sponsor conference talks and make Veepee a recognised contributor to the global DevOps community.
• • Reduce technical debt like it’s inventory. Identify brittle cron jobs, snowflake servers and manual run-books, then replace them with immutable containers, operators and GitOps workflows. Every quarter you will publish a debt-burn-down report that shows measurable progress to the CTO.
• • Evangelise DevOps good practices across 5,000 employees in 10 countries. You will write internal blogs, record demo videos and run workshops that turn sceptics into champions. Your influence will make “you build it, you run it” the default mindset from Paris to Warsaw.
