- • Lead, Startup & Ventures Marketing role at MongoDB focused on expanding AI-native marketing strategy and strengthening presence across the Bay Area startup and VC ecosystem.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include serving as MongoDB’s primary representative to the local startup ecosystem, building relationships with VCs, founders, accelerators, and community partners, and designing and delivering high-impact programs such as hackathons, demo nights, founder dinners, and conference-adjacent activations.
- • The role sits within MongoDB’s marketing organization, working at the intersection of partnerships, community, events, and content, with a focus on regional ecosystem building and operating at scale in San Francisco.
- • The person in this role will learn to drive high-value startup acquisition, expand MongoDB’s physical and digital presence in the Bay Area, align cross-functionally with Revenue Marketing, Strategic Events, and DevRel teams, and measure impact through defined metrics like attendance quality and funded-founder participation to continuously optimize strategy.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of experience in marketing, community, ecosystem, or events roles focused on startups, developers, or technical founders
- • Experience managing and developing high-performing teams with ability to set strategy while supporting on-the-ground execution
- • Deep familiarity with the Bay Area startup ecosystem, including established relationships across VCs, founders, accelerators, and key founder communities
