  • In this critical role of Learning Manager, Compounding, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing our training strategies within our compounding pharmacy operations. You will serve as a key advocate for fostering a robust learning and development culture, responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing management of comprehensive learning programs. These programs are vital to ensuring that every employee within our compounding pharmacies and facilities possesses the requisite knowledge, skills, and competencies to excel in their roles and contribute to our high standards of quality and compliance. This position demands exceptional leadership capabilities, meticulous project management, and adept stakeholder collaboration to successfully deliver impactful training initiatives within a highly regulated, fast-paced operational environment.
  • Your primary focus will be to drive operational excellence by developing and implementing effective onboarding processes, ensuring strict adherence to compliance requirements, and promoting continuous employee development. You will also be responsible for maintaining rigorous documentation standards, a cornerstone of our regulated operations. This role is pivotal in supporting our operational teams across various departments, ensuring consistency, proficiency, and a deep understanding of compounding best practices.
  • Key responsibilities include:
  • Developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive training initiatives tailored for the unique demands of compounding pharmacy operations. This encompasses onboarding new team members, ensuring ongoing compliance with all relevant regulations, reinforcing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and facilitating continuous professional development for all staff.
  • Meticulously maintaining accurate and up-to-date training records, diligently tracking completion rates, and ensuring unwavering adherence to SOPs, stringent regulatory requirements, and established industry best practices.
  • Collaborating closely with operations stakeholders to proactively identify evolving training needs, conceptualize and develop engaging and effective learning solutions, and champion continuous improvement across all training programs.
  • Leading and facilitating Train-the-Trainer programs designed to empower subject matter experts and supervisors, enabling them to consistently and effectively deliver high-quality training across all shifts and locations.
  • Maintaining and updating all training materials, including presentations, interactive e-learning modules, and multimedia content, ensuring they remain current, relevant, engaging, and aligned with the latest operational procedures and compliance standards.
  • Coordinating and leveraging internal audits of on-site training programs to rigorously assess and ensure compliance with both company policies and overarching industry standards.
  • Effectively utilizing our Learning Management System (LMS) to assign training modules, track employee progress, and generate comprehensive reports on training completion and overall effectiveness.
  • Building strong partnerships with Operations, Quality Assurance, Compliance, Safety, and Human Resources teams to ensure seamless alignment of training programs with overarching business objectives and critical operational requirements.
  • Tracking and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) related to training completion, employee performance metrics, and staff retention rates to accurately assess the impact of training initiatives and inform data-driven improvements.
  • Actively fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth by implementing structured career development programs, providing targeted coaching, and organizing skill-building workshops.
  • Conducting targeted remediation training as necessary to address specific performance gaps, compliance issues, or areas requiring additional skill development.
  • This role is essential for ensuring the highest standards of operational integrity and employee proficiency within our compounding division, directly contributing to the quality and safety of the products and services we provide to our patients.

🎯 Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Learning & Development, Education, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification is a mandatory requirement.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in training and development, with a proven track record of managing and administering comprehensive learning programs.
  • At least 2 years of direct experience within compounding operations, specifically in a 503a, 503b, or manufacturing pharmacy setting.
  • Strong understanding of compliance training requirements and good documentation practices (GDP) within regulated industries.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams and managing high-performing individuals or groups.
  • Proven ability to engage effectively with stakeholders and a history of successful cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience utilizing Learning Management Systems (LMS) for training administration, tracking, and reporting.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the capacity to manage multiple concurrent training programs and initiatives.
  • Proven experience in facilitating both instructor-led and virtual training sessions.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence, mentor, and develop others.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant digital productivity tools.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying work schedules and shifts to support a 7-day operational coverage.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan daily/weekly tasks effectively and adapt to competing demands in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships across all organizational levels and functions.
