- • As a Senior Director Analyst in Gartner’s Corporate Assurance Practice, you will serve as a trusted thought leader advising General Counsel and legal operations leaders on the strategic adoption, governance, and ROI of Artificial Intelligence within legal functions, directly influencing how enterprises leverage AI to transform legal workflows and mitigate risk.
- • You will create original, defensible, and highly actionable research insights on legal AI use cases—spanning generative, agentic, and traditional AI applications—while advising clients on piloting, scaling, vendor selection, and integrating AI into core legal processes such as contract lifecycle management, workload triage, and outside counsel oversight.
- • You will stay at the forefront of emerging AI trends relevant to legal departments, including agentic AI, AI governance frameworks, and vendor landscape shifts, translating complex technical and regulatory developments into clear, executive-ready guidance for senior legal and compliance leaders.
- • You will collaborate cross-functionally with peers in Legal, IT, Finance, and Data teams to align thought leadership, validate market trends, and ensure consistent positioning on AI-driven legal transformation, while mentoring junior analysts and contributing to process improvements that enhance team effectiveness.
- • You will engage directly with clients through virtual briefings, event presentations, and sales support interactions, delivering compelling narratives that connect AI innovation to measurable business outcomes, and represent Gartner’s research methodology with credibility and executive presence in high-stakes forums.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- • 12+ years of relevant experience in legal functions, legal technology leadership, or AI implementation within enterprise environments, with proven success in designing and managing legal AI strategies
- • Deep first-hand knowledge of legal department workflows (contracts management, workload intake/triage, outside counsel management) and hands-on experience with AI tools from vendors such as Harvey, Ironclad, Luminance, and Brightflag, including generative and agentic AI applications
- • Demonstrated ability to advise, present to, and write for C-suite legal executives (General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer) with strong executive presence, executive-level communication skills, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable business insights
- • Excellence in research, analytical thinking, and writing; ability to synthesize data, identify patterns, defend conclusions, and produce high-quality, timely insights under tight deadlines while working independently in a matrixed, multicultural global team
