  • • Manage all legal aspects of Crusoe’s data center construction program across the US and internationally, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory standards.
  • • Develop and execute contract and procurement strategies in close collaboration with delivery, pre-construction, design, procurement, and legal teams to support rapid expansion of data center infrastructure.
  • • Lead the negotiation, drafting, and execution of construction agreements with vendors, contractors, and suppliers, aligning terms with Crusoe’s operational and strategic objectives.
  • • Administer active construction contracts by monitoring performance, scope changes, change orders, and dispute resolution processes to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • • Serve as the primary legal liaison between Crusoe’s Digital Infrastructure Group and external construction partners, ensuring clear communication and alignment on contractual expectations.
  • • Provide legal guidance on construction-related risks, liability allocation, indemnification clauses, insurance requirements, and warranty provisions within construction agreements.
  • • Support the standardization and scaling of contract templates and procurement workflows to improve efficiency across multiple concurrent construction projects.
  • • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to interpret contractual obligations and translate them into actionable deliverables for construction and operations teams.
  • • Contribute to global contract strategy by analyzing trends in construction law, vendor performance, and market conditions to inform future contracting approaches.
  • • Ensure adherence to Crusoe’s mission of powering digital infrastructure with clean, stranded, and renewable energy by embedding sustainability and environmental compliance into contractual terms.
  • • Track and report on key contract metrics including timelines, cost variances, compliance rates, and vendor performance to senior leadership and legal counsel.
  • • Participate in cross-functional planning sessions to align construction schedules, budget constraints, and legal risk mitigation strategies with overall company goals.
  • • Maintain accurate and organized records of all construction contracts, amendments, correspondence, and approvals in accordance with internal compliance protocols.
  • • Advise on the resolution of contractual disputes, including mediation, arbitration, or litigation preparation, while minimizing operational disruption.
  • • Stay current on evolving construction regulations, permitting requirements, and industry best practices in data center development to ensure Crusoe’s contracts remain legally robust and competitive.
  • • Support the onboarding and contract management of new construction vendors, including due diligence, risk assessment, and supplier development initiatives.
  • • Work directly with executives and managers across energy, engineering, and operations to translate legal requirements into practical, scalable construction processes.
  • • Ensure all construction contracts reflect Crusoe’s commitment to innovation, speed, and environmental responsibility in AI infrastructure development.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Juris doctor (JD) or equivalent practical experience
  • • 3-5 years of experience in construction contract management, preferably in the hyperscaler data center space
  • • 3-5 years of experience in construction management, business agreements, supplier development, or supply chain processes
