📋 Description
- • Draft, review, and negotiate a high volume of customer, vendor, and partner agreements including MSAs, SaaS subscription agreements, DPAs, NDAs, SOWs, and order forms, escalating complex or non-standard issues to the Senior Legal Counsel.
- • Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of Tenex’s contract templates, playbooks, and standard positions to accelerate deal cycles and ensure legal and operational consistency across agreements.
- • Serve as the primary point of contact for Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Procurement teams on routine contracting inquiries, redlines, and internal approval workflows.
- • Assist with data protection and privacy compliance initiatives, including responding to customer security and privacy questionnaires and helping operationalize requirements under GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable privacy laws.
- • Manage the contract lifecycle process, including intake, routing, e-signature execution, and post-execution recordkeeping to ensure accurate and auditable contract documentation.
- • Contribute to the development of internal training materials and resources on contracting standards, data privacy, and compliance best practices for non-legal teams.
- • Participate in stretch projects and special initiatives as the legal function scales, with guidance and mentorship from the Senior Legal Counsel.
- • Collaborate with leaders across Sales, Customer Success, Finance, People Operations, Product, and Security to provide timely legal guidance on commercial and compliance matters.
- • Maintain a high level of attention to detail in drafting and reviewing agreements, ensuring internal consistency, clarity, and risk mitigation in all contractual language.
- • Prioritize and manage multiple active contracts and legal requests simultaneously under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment.
- • Communicate legal risks and business implications clearly and concisely to non-legal stakeholders to enable informed decision-making and smooth deal progression.
- • Operate with a customer- and partner-focused mindset, balancing company protection with pragmatic solutions that facilitate business growth.
- • Handle sensitive information with high integrity, discretion, and professionalism, maintaining confidentiality in all legal and compliance matters.
- • Remain adaptable to shifting priorities and ambiguity inherent in a rapidly scaling early-stage company.
- • Actively engage in learning new subject matter areas, including evolving cybersecurity and AI-native MDR regulatory landscapes.
- • Uphold Tenex’s culture of collaboration and community by working closely and transparently with cross-functional teams in an in-person environment.
- • Support the expansion of the legal function by identifying opportunities for process improvement and scalability in contract operations and compliance workflows.
