📋 Description

• • Be the single point of legal truth for Aspora’s entire US business. You will own every legal question that touches our money-transmission, remittance, and payments products, translating dense statutes into crisp, actionable guidance that product, ops, and leadership can run with.
• • Translate state-by-state money-transmitter licensing (MTL) and NMLS filings into product-ready roadmaps. You will sit shoulder-to-shoulder with the US Chief Compliance Officer to decide how we structure customer journeys, fee disclosures, and reserve requirements so we stay compliant while shipping at start-up speed.
• • Interpret and operationalize US federal and state rules—Reg E, UDAP/UDAAP, BSA/AML, OFAC sanctions, GLBA privacy, CAN-SPAM/TCPA marketing—turning red-flag risks into green-lit features. Your memos will become the canonical reference that engineers, designers, and growth teams consult before writing a single line of code or copy.
• • Draft, redline, and negotiate the commercial backbone of our US launch: bank program-manager agreements, payment-processor addenda, sponsor-bank MSB contracts, vendor SaaS deals, and partnership MOUs. You will create a living clause library so future deals close in days, not weeks.
• • Own every pixel of customer-facing legal content—terms & conditions, cardholder agreements, privacy notices, consent flows, and in-app micro-copy—ensuring clarity, fairness, and regulatory alignment across web, iOS, and Android touchpoints.
• • Serve as Aspora’s ambassador to US regulators, state examiners, and banking partners. You will quarterback responses to exams, subpoenas, and customer complaints, turning adversarial interactions into trust-building moments that accelerate licensing approvals.
• • Monitor the regulatory horizon—CFPB circulars, state AG settlements, FedNow updates, stable-coin guidance—and run weekly “reg radar” briefings that pre-empt surprises and shape sprint priorities.
• • Build scalable legal infrastructure: policy templates, contract playbooks, compliance checklists, and Slack-ready micro-trainings that empower non-lawyers to spot issues early and make risk-aware decisions without bottlenecks.
• • Collaborate with our global legal squad (UK, EU, UAE, India) on cross-border data transfers, licensing reciprocity, and product localization, ensuring the US playbook harmonizes with Aspora’s borderless vision.
• • Champion a culture of extreme ownership and radical candor: flag hidden risks, celebrate creative solutions, and mentor junior colleagues so the entire company levels up its legal IQ.
