📋 Description

• Assist the General Counsel with contract review and management tasks, including drafting, summarizing, and analyzing legal documents.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research on topics related to private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate compliance, compiling findings into clear reports.
• Draft legal memoranda and other internal legal documents under the supervision of the General Counsel.
• Support the implementation and configuration of cutting-edge Legal AI technologies used for document analysis and workflow automation.
• Manage legal data through intake applications, ensuring accurate entry, organization, and retrieval of case-related information.
• Participate in hybrid work arrangements, splitting time between remote work and the Los Angeles office as scheduled based on academic credit requirements.
• Collaborate with finance and technology teams to understand the legal function’s role in value creation within private equity consulting.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive legal and client information, adhering to professional and ethical standards.
• Apply proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to prepare and format legal documentation and presentations.
• Utilize general AI tools to enhance research efficiency, document review accuracy, and process optimization.
• Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail in all written outputs, including citations, formatting, and legal analysis.
• Manage time effectively to balance externship responsibilities with academic commitments, meeting all deadlines consistently.
• Represent Accordion Partners professionally in internal and external communications, maintaining a positive and ethical presence.
• Actively seek feedback and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development in legal and financial contexts.
• Contribute to team objectives with a proactive, collaborative attitude and strong work ethic.

🎯 Requirements

• Current law student at an accredited law school
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and general AI tools
• Strong writing, drafting, research, and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with exceptional time management and organizational abilities
• Interest in finance, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, in-house legal practice, and AI technologies
• Guided by strong moral and ethical principles
