• As a Legal Intake Specialist, you are the crucial first point of contact for individuals seeking legal assistance through Finch. Your primary responsibility is to establish immediate trust and rapport with potential clients, expertly qualify their cases based on established criteria, and ensure a swift and seamless sign-up process for all eligible individuals. This role is integral to the 24/7 Legal Operations team, serving as the frontline of Finch's client experience and directly impacting our ability to deliver exceptional service.
• You will be responsible for answering inbound calls from potential clients across multiple partner law firms with the utmost empathy, professionalism, and clarity. This involves actively listening to their concerns, understanding their unique situations, and gathering essential information to assess case viability.
• A key aspect of your role will be to meticulously qualify cases, confirming eligibility against defined criteria and demonstrating a solid understanding of personal injury law principles. This requires keen analytical skills and the ability to discern relevant details from client narratives.
• You will expertly guide clients through the entire sign-up and retainer process, ensuring they feel informed, supported, and confident in their decision to proceed with legal representation. Your ability to explain complex legal processes in an accessible manner will be paramount.
• Upon successful qualification and sign-up, you will meticulously prepare and hand off cases to our network of attorneys and lead paralegals, ensuring all information is complete, accurate, and well-organized to facilitate a smooth transition and efficient case management.
• Maintaining exceptional responsiveness and a high level of professionalism is critical, as you are a key builder of trust and the initial representative of Finch and our partner firms for every potential client.
• This role operates on an overnight schedule, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM EST, providing essential coverage for our clients and partners around the clock.
• You will be an integral part of the Legal Operations team, a group dedicated to delivering outstanding outcomes for our law firm partners and their injured clients through precision, speed, and compassionate care. We are assembling a team composed of the top 1% of legal operators, drawing on extensive experience from law firms across the United States and empowering them with state-of-the-art technology to serve a greater number of clients with enhanced humanity.
• Your contributions will directly influence the growth and success of Finch Legal by ensuring that every potential client receives a positive and reassuring initial experience, setting the stage for successful legal representation and reinforcing our commitment to making justice accessible.
• This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, the ability to adapt to evolving processes, and a genuine desire to help people navigate challenging legal circumstances. You will be instrumental in building Finch's reputation as a trusted and efficient gateway to legal services.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in client-facing intake or sales roles, with a strong preference for experience within the legal services industry.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build trust and rapport quickly over the phone.
• Demonstrated ability to lead conversations with empathy and professionalism while maintaining control and guiding the interaction effectively.
• Proven capacity to remain calm, focused, and composed under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to manage multiple client interactions and tasks simultaneously.
• Comfort and confidence in explaining how legal services can assist individuals, employing a soft sales approach to encourage sign-ups.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and spoken) is essential for effectively serving a diverse client base.
