📋 Description

• As a Senior Director Analyst in Gartner’s Corporate Assurance Practice, you will serve as a trusted thought leader advising General Counsel, legal operations leaders, and compliance executives on strategic initiatives that drive measurable impact in legal departments worldwide.
• You will produce innovative, research-backed insights on legal department strategy, workflow optimization, technology adoption, talent management, and cost efficiency—helping clients navigate complex challenges and achieve their business objectives through actionable, evidence-based guidance.
• Day to day, you will create high-leverage written research, deliver compelling presentations and virtual briefings, provide sales support as a domain expert, collaborate with peers to refine thought leadership, mentor junior analysts, and conduct peer reviews to ensure research quality and consistency across Gartner’s insights ecosystem.
• You will stay ahead of emerging trends in legal technology (e.g., AI, e-billing, matter management, contract lifecycle tools), analyze market shifts, and translate complex data into clear, persuasive narratives that resonate with C-suite legal leaders and inform strategic decision-making.
• You will partner with sales and product teams to align insights with client needs, support business development efforts, and represent Gartner at industry events, webinars, and conferences as a credible voice in legal operations and department management.
• You will identify opportunities to improve research processes, develop new frameworks, and contribute to the evolution of Gartner’s methodology—ensuring the practice remains at the forefront of legal industry innovation.
• You will operate within a highly collaborative, multicultural, and matrixed global team, balancing independent initiative with strong teamwork to deliver timely, high-impact client solutions under tight deadlines.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• 12+ years of relevant field or industry experience, ideally as a legal operations leader, attorney, or consultant with deep expertise in legal department workflows and transformation initiatives
• Subject matter expertise in legal department operations, including hands-on experience implementing and maintaining legal technology systems (e.g., e-billing, matter management, contract management, AI, GRC tools)
• Proven ability to communicate complex business cases to senior legal executives (e.g., General Counsel, CCO, CIO) using legal, business, and financial lenses to secure buy-in and drive change
• Demonstrated excellence in research, writing, analytical thinking, and presentation skills—with the ability to synthesize data, defend conclusions, and explain complex concepts clearly and persuasively
• Strong organizational skills, learning agility, and experience thriving in highly matrixed, multicultural global environments while working independently and collaboratively
