- ⢠Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) role focused on providing clinical social work services to pediatric patients and families within PM Pediatrics Management Group, LLC, supporting mental health and emotional well-being as an integral part of comprehensive pediatric care in a remote setting serving New York.
- ⢠Conducts biopsychosocial assessments, develops individualized treatment plans, and delivers evidence-based therapeutic interventions (including CBT, play therapy, and family systems approaches) to children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral challenges, and adjustment disorders related to medical conditions.
- ⢠Collaborates closely with pediatricians, nurses, and multidisciplinary care teams to integrate behavioral health into primary care visits, ensuring seamless coordination and timely referrals for patients needing additional support.
- ⢠Provides crisis intervention and suicide risk assessment when clinically indicated, maintains accurate and confidential clinical documentation in electronic health records, and participates in case reviews and quality improvement initiatives.
- ⢠Engages in psychoeducation for parents and caregivers, offering guidance on coping strategies, developmental milestones, and navigating school or community resources to strengthen family resilience and support systems.
- ⢠Participates in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities to stay current with best practices in pediatric mental health, trauma-informed care, and culturally responsive interventions.
- ⢠Upholds ethical standards and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, NYS Social Work licensing regulations, and PM Pediatricsā policies, while advocating for equitable access to mental health services across diverse populations.
- ⢠Contributes to a mission-driven culture where clinicians are empowered to make meaningful differences in childrenās lives through compassionate, family-centered care grounded in research and clinical excellence.
šÆ Requirements
- ⢠Active and current Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) license in the state of New York.
- ⢠Minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience providing direct therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and families in outpatient, medical, or school-based settings.
- ⢠Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, play therapy, and family systems therapy.
- ⢠Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, including experience with DSM-5-TR and ability to conduct biopsychosocial evaluations.
- ⢠Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build rapport with diverse pediatric populations and collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and caregivers.
- ⢠Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation, scheduling, and care coordination; familiarity with Epic or similar platforms preferred.
